Such a stark contrast between being here at the Eisteddfod, celebrating our Welsh culture and language & the scenes of hatred and violence seen in recent days. We must stand against, & keep calling out this intolerence. Safwn yn erbyn y casineb a’r rhagfarn, a gyda’n cyd-ddyn.

@Plaid_Cymru There are less than 3 million Welsh people in a world of 8 billion. We have a duty to protect our beautiful and unique Welsh culture. This includes not letting in anyone unaccustomed with our way of life. If our country is diluted, our culture will be confined to history forever.

@Plaid_Cymru Nonsense. New Welsh citizens can enrich our culture, embrace our language, support public services, contribute to our economy and enhance our communities. There is no culture without people to live it or a language without people to speak it.

@Plaid_Cymru There will be lots of nice events taking place in England this weekend. 99.999% of English people have not rioted and would never do so. Don't try and turn this into a Wales versus England thing. Do better.

@Plaid_Cymru The problems have been caused by politicians like yourself not doing their jobs, we have become a lawless society and the politicians just can’t and won’t see what the root of the problem is, there’s good and bad in all cultures, but letting all the boats in is just crazy 🤷‍♂️

@Plaid_Cymru Absolutely agreed! I’m at my first @esteddfod and I’ve enjoyed it so much. Loved the @WelshNatOpera and just about to listen to @meldaloisg at Maes B 🥰 I’m determined to build on my Welsh language skills too 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️

@Plaid_Cymru Wales - 94% white Scotland - 93% white England - 73% white intolerance is your only defence

@Plaid_Cymru But how many cultures are represented at your Welsh country fair? Probably just 2, and those being English, and Welsh. These riots are the result of multiculturalism. Cultures are often hostile to one another. This happens across the world. E.g, balkans, middle east, etc.

@Plaid_Cymru Worrying response. This is Welsh exceptionalism and it will come back to slap us in the face!

@Plaid_Cymru Exceptionalism, Aled? We've plenty of racism in Wales, sadly. This is a post praising people who choose hope over hate wherever they are... in Wales, England or anywhere else.
