What these pathis are doing is totally wrong. Ideally this way of Akhand Paath sahib in Lari is a Manmat. Guru Granth Sahib should be done by self or atleast of the family member (or multiple) should listen to it when in progress.

The SGPC has issued a farman stating that Ravidas Ji should be called Bhagat and not Guru. I fully agree. We respect and revere Bhagat Ravidas Ji, and his bani is part of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, but he was not a Guru. It’s really that simple. No need to politicize this.

This bill proposes to amend the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 to make such cases of sacrilege a crime punishable with a maximum punishment.
