Saul, a fervent persecutor of early Christians, was travelling to Damascus to arrest followers of Jesus. As he neared the city, a bright light from heaven suddenly flashed around him, and he fell to the ground. He heard a voice saying, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” When Saul asked who was speaking, the voice replied, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.”Blinded by the light, Saul was led by his companions into Damascus. For three days, he was blind and neither ate nor drank. In Damascus, a disciple named Ananias, instructed by God in a vision, visited Saul. Ananias laid hands on him, and Saul’s sight was restored. The First Dimension of the Five Representations of The One True God that The Church Must Present to the World is The God who forgives. (Psalm 103:1-3, Daniel 9:9, Ephesians 1:7, Jeremiah 31:3, John 3:16). There needs to be a representation of a God who loves and forgives them, not to condone sin but as an expression of His love for them. A forgiving God is a God worth coming to, because forgiveness is a scarce commodity in today's world. God does not condone sin, but can abundantly pardon. God does not forgive rebels. “There are seven passages—SEVEN passages that have been used to say homosexuality is a sin. How many verses are there in the Bible? And for SEVEN PASSAGES to be made such a huge frickin deal…If homosexuality was such a big deal with God and Jesus, Jesus would’ve said a lot more about it.” The Bible is the inerrant, infallible word of God. 2 Timothy tells us ALL Scripture is God-breathed. No passage is expendable. All of it essential, truthful, and of God. Also, homosexuality being sinful isn’t some archaic thing of the Old Testament. Again, the Old Testament is part of God’s inerrant, infallible word as well, but also in Matthew 19, Jesus explicitly reaffirmed marriage as the union of one man and one woman by appealing to God’s design in creation. Think of all the things Jesus said and did that God didn’t see for to include in Scripture. If it’s there, it’s essential and inerrant. This is a core doctrine of Christianity.

The prophet who wiped away God’s tears. Moses was not only a liberator. Scripture says he spoke with God face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. But ancient accounts tell that one day he was brought to witness something no other man had ever seen. He was not called to receive commands nor to hear laws. He was taken to the place where heaven watches humanity. He expected judgment. He expected condemnation. But what he found took his breath away. He saw God looking upon the world in a silence heavier than any word. It was not a silence of anger. It was the silence of deep sorrow. Humanity was drifting away, and the divine heart felt it. Then Moses understood something few have ever grasped before. There was a love that suffers. That day, Moses did not see only the power of God. He witnessed his sorrow and became the prophet who, through his faithfulness, wiped away the tears of the creator. That is why he spoke with God as a friend.
