In a 1959 interview with Mike Wallace, Rand issued a warning that feels eerily prophetic today...saying the country would continue sliding toward disaster until “welfare state conceptions” were fully rejected. She predicted a shift toward collectivism — and described it as a system of enslavement. New York City didn’t listen.
