One of the brilliant things about Casino is how the camera is essentially a character in and of itself, moving through the film as a spectator, glancing around, scanning the environment. In a 1959 interview with Mike Wallace, Rand issued a warning that feels eerily prophetic today...saying the country would continue sliding toward disaster until “welfare state conceptions” were fully rejected.
