Sunflower update

Lovely. 🌻 We drove past a field of sunflowers near Brechin in Scotland. Never seen them grown like that in this country before. There's fields of them in Bulgaria and Eastern Europe.

Mine

Must have been sunny in Manchester 😮

Here is the video my son sent

Plenty of seeds on there for the tweety pies 🐦🐦🐦

Spotted this one on a neighbour’s allotment, I took a pic because I’d never seen so many heads on one plant

It's happy flowers again... 🫣 I'll get my coat

We need more posts like this! Thx for sharing. #happy

They’re getting big mate!

? Why is there an American rugby ball in the like button?

Eles estão lindos! 🌻🌻🌻

Is that old Green Grocer's grass 🤣

Paul, those look very healthy indeed. Assuming you are feeding them too? Ours in allotment all to seed now but sure they were as tall if not taller but huge flowers. Any tips? See you in Leeds First Direct arena in October for my 62 birthday 🎂 trip Looking forward too it 😊 😀

No, I don't feed them anything. Plant late and water with rain and shower water. I don't know what I do but every year they seem to get bigger. See you in Leeds Mark

Still going strong buddy 👍

Wow, they look amazing and still going so strong. I’m so jealous…….😀🌻🌻🌻

I'm getting the same chills as when I watched The Day of Triffids when I was a young boy!!

Yeahman 👌

Mine are finished

Brilliant Paul

Beautiful 🌻🌻🌻🌻

Braw. A fox stole mine. No idea why.

Hi @PaulHeatonSolo how long has it taken for them to grow so tall

Wilting. Happens to us all.

Wow what’s going the highest your record sales or the sunflower s both excellent

These are phenomenal! Beautiful! It’s like watching children grow up! xxx 🌻🐝💛🤎

Just chillies for me this year

Must be a song in growing sunflowers 🌻

Do you know how tall they are in ft? X

The medium one is around 10ft 5"

😱That’s more than 2 of me!! Amazing stuff 🌻

Wonderfully tall

Envious Paul. I’m guessing that it’s because they face, almost due south and get a lot of sunlight. See you at the M&S Liverpool.

No they face directly north

Wow. Maybe that’s the thing then. Ours usually face due south against a the garage wall. Never had them that big. Didn’t plant any this year as we had work going on.

I'm in lanzarote and the squirrels have the 3rd and final sunflower in my garden while I'm away 😔

They always look such happy flowers! Nice treat for the birds and squirrels too so it's a win. win.
