"Supper Villain" (1999) This dinner sequence is an instance where intentional slowness actually works and has a purpose in the story. Just having Harold threaten to shoot Utonium in the head once dinner is over makes the Professor stalling for time feel a lot less meandering.

This is not something that this crew (some of whom worked on the episode above) would retain for a lot of what came after.

I love how his hand INSTANTLY shoots up after she suggests dessert, no in-between frames or anything

This episode was so awkward to watch at first. It was just a basic guy having a midlife crisis/breakdown and the girls taking it too seriously. I mean it’s a blow dryer they have seen real ray guns.

As a kid I remember watching and laughing so hard at this scene. Like he put A PEA in his mouth and his cheeks are stuffed while he's chewing it LOL. Also, that's a hair dryer!!!! XDDD

Yes? That's part of the joke. The father is insane after a mid-life crisis and tries to hold the family hostage. He's still trying to threaten the Professor even if he really can't DO much to him.
