Surprisingly #FantasticFour was actually a great movie!

Saw it, I recommend it....but the Silver Surfer gender swap was completely unnecessary and Pedro was horribly miscast.

Had ZERO intention of seeing the movie. Saw Pedro Pascal and thought THE worst woke actor and figured another Disney WOKE fail. And Then your review. ??? I must be way too jaded cause I’m thinking your review is a spoof.

Pedro doesn’t fit the part at all.

The way I see it is you separate the art from the artist. I can listen to rage against the machine enjoy the riffs and drums and not listen to how retarded tom morello is. Same with Pedro, he was excellent in Marcos and the last of us. Anytime I hear a celebrity’s opinion I immediately ignore it because they more than likely don’t know anything and are repeating talking points that they heard to appease their base. Really glad to hear F4 is worth watching. Ty🙏

While I agree it wasn’t bad or “woke” as a hard core comic fan I’d disagree it was a “really good movie” Pedro was absolutely miscast as Reed and didn’t play the character accurately. While she wasn’t an insufferable girl boss like most marvel heroines she was subtly one to squeak by because Disney can’t help themselves. And the Silver Surf-her was absolutely 100% Feige’s identity politics contribution. And for those wiki-warriors out there “BuT sHe’S iN tHe CoMIcS”, she was in 3 or 4 pages once in a mini series(EarthX) of a alternate universe and did nothing but die in it. If they wanted a female love interest for Johnny they should have done Nova as Galactus’ herald.

Won’t give a dime to support this. Why would I pay Pedro’s salary?

6.5. Bad special effects. Ben Grim was pathetic. Miscast. Script was suited for fifth graders. Ridiculous flaws. But was best Marvel movie this year.

I wish I could agree with you on this, but even as massive a comic nerd as I am, once was enough and this stinker won’t be going into my dvd collection.

Just saw it today and it was hot steaming garbage. Literally a hint of “don’t kill babies” becomes “pro-life” because conservatives are starved for media made for us. That doesn’t mean the movie was any less jumbled and poorly paced. Solid 3/10, save your $, wait for Disney+
