Free Agent RHP Dax Dathe went 17-5 with a 4.37 ERA across one season at Texas Tech and two at Angelo State (D2), before spending his senior year at LSU. He's been consistently 92-94 in bullpens since adjusting his initial move and set position, touching 93 in this session. Tyson Hardin is the guy I'm targeting from the Brewers in potential Kevin Gausman trade talks. 24 year old starter who's already at AAA. Here's a detailed breakdown of his stuff profile courtesy of BA. It's a low release slot with good extension. Stuff plays up and misses bats. Slider in particular which has the shape and movement profile of a sweeper really intrigues me. 2436 RPM with -13.8" of HB coming in at an extremely flat VAA (-7.3). Profiles as a potential SP4 with the potential for more.

This young man on the mound, a senior in high school, started the game and threw one pitch in the game on senior day. The back story is that he was injured by a line drive in March ending his career with a brain bleed. The young man up to bat is a senior and the son of the mom who filmed this. He agreed to not swing at the pitch. They said there wasn't a dry eye in the ballpark. This game is so much greater than that little white ball! In a world of such chaos and hate, I love, love, love this so much.❤️ How can you not be romantic about baseball?

I think Jacob Devaney is actually really close to being ready. Predominantly a #6 (although that’s played #8 and less frequently #10), so a profile that we don’t have many senior players in a similar mould. Very good at reading the game, loves to put in a tackle, tenacious with his pressing, gets absolutely everywhere on the pitch with his stamina and even popped up with this worldie for the u21s last season vs Notts County. After a successful loan spell at St Mirren, I could see him getting a championship loan - or even being used as a squad option with frequent appearances on the bench for the first team.

Do boosters and alumni have the appetite to help buyout Hunter and McMahon when all the focus is on NIL and transfer portal for football. Matt Moscona reported on "Locked on LSU" podcast that it would be roughly $10 million to buyout McMahon and his staff. The last tax filing on Hunter's pay at Tulane was $1.435 million for the 2023 calendar year. It's a private school, so don't know how many years Hunter has left on his contract.
