Switched to manual aiming with a cursor! 🎯 Initially, the prototype had auto-targeting, but it felt less engaging. Now, players have full control for a more immersive experience. What’s your take—manual or auto-aim? P.S. I know the bullet traces go through the yellow guy 🤫

instead of a cursor i think a line ie laserpointer whatever would look better and will translate also better to not mouse controls

Considering how popular Path of Exile's control-style, I'd say this will be the popular mechanic for a while. It's honestly the only reason I play POE2, I normally hate ARPGs.

Cursor aiming doesnt feel good on a controller. So maybe both?

This looks so good! Omg When will we be able to wishlist it on Steam? What’s the story behind the game? Really hoping there will be some horror elements 👀 it would fit the vibe really well

looks terrific! manual definitely feels like a more engaging mechanic. aim-assist could be an upgrade, or unique to certain weapons so the player appreciates it better. might this be fun? instead of placing the mouse cursor over the target to aim, you could limit the max distance of each weapon's reticle from the character to represent effective aiming range.

If the “game” is shooting then manual If the “game” is other types of gameplay like strategy or RPGness then auto.

Manual but having some kind of lasersight. For controllers it really helps.

Could it be optional? Or you have a hot key that drops in and out of auto targeting to give that control to the player? I feel like I’d want to pop in and out of aim-assist depending on where my brain is at that day.

I think manual is the right choice however I don't think a crosshair is the right visual for it unless shooting an enemy at chest/head level has a different effect than shooting them in the leg for example.

Wow! This looks so cool 🔥
