Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone just paced herself around the track to win her Olympic 400m Hurdle Semifinal race in 52.13. For context, the world record before Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone broke it 5 times in the last 3 years was 52.16. We are on WR ALERT AGAIN

"No one in the field can run faster....without hurdles" than she can *with* them. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is in a class of her own - I can't *wait* to see her go all-out in the finals.

That’s insanely fast! Wow — hopefully she can set a new WR and take home the Gold!

She runs so smooth

For anyone who has run track and field, this is by far one of the most difficult events, if not the hardest. Not only do you feel the pain of the 400 meters but you have to maintain the same number of steps between hurdles (and get over them). Amazing it looks so easy for her.

she makes it look effortless!

So it was or was not just broken? Is anyone else confused?

These finals will be must watch tv. McLaughlin-Levrone vs. Bol. 🍿

Everything about her posture and stride makes her running look effortless. A pure beautiful natural runner. 😎😎✅✅

She looks like she's taking it easy, and still won handily. I think @RGIII is right that the final is going to set a new WR

With Femke Bol pushing her, it can happen.
