Now there is rumors of Kendrick being on a J. Cole album with Drake after all this supposed “culture war.” So what was the point of all that division? all that moral grandstanding? I guess it was just about positioning. I believe, the industry needed a counterweight to Drake, someone they can market as the “pure” alternative, and Kendrick was it. So Drake staying away is the smart move.
