I'm officially a conspiracy theorist. I no longer believe: Sunscreen with cancer-causing chemicals prevents cancer. Toothpaste full of fluoride and other neurotoxic chemicals prevents cavities. Artificial flavors with gut-disrupting chemicals prevent obesity. Supplements with illness-causing chemicals prevent illness. Shampoo with hair loss-causing chemicals prevents hair loss. I'm now awake and know that the majority of health issues can be prevented by reducing our exposure to toxicity and getting in alignment with nature.

I am no longer confident in the use of synthetic hair for braids and weaves and here’s why: Kanekalon- The affordable modacrylic fiber, utilized by many well-known synthetic braiding extension brands, is composed of acrylonitrile and vinyl chloride, both of which are toxic to humans. The Environmental Protection Agency classifies acrylonitrile as a probable human carcinogen. The National Cancer Institute directly links vinyl chloride with leukemia, lymphoma, and rare forms of liver, brain, and lung cancers.
