The preliminary hearing in the case of the State v. Tyler Robinson will take place in Provo, UT next week, July 6-10. This is going to be an incredibly difficult but important week for all of us in the Turning Point family, but especially Erika and Charlie’s parents. We've been getting a lot of questions about what exactly this means and what to expect. This is NOT the trial. This is a pre-trial judicial proceeding. There will be no jury and the sole purpose of the hearing is to determine whether prosecutors have gathered enough evidence for the case to move forward to trial. The hearing is expected to last most of the week and will include witness testimony, evidence presented by prosecutors, and cross-examination by the defense. Charlie’s parents and Erika will be there together throughout the proceedings. They are not attending as public figures, but as grieving loved ones. I hope the media and social media gives them the space and respect they deserve during what will be a very challenging few days. The hearing was originally scheduled for May but was later rescheduled and now falls immediately between previously scheduled events and our Chapter Leadership Summit, which had all been on the calendar long before Charlie was murdered. We'll be following the hearing very closely and covering developments throughout the week, including special episodes of the show after court adjourns to cover the biggest developments each day.

Utah state prosecutors stated that they have a "voluminous" amount of evidence against Tyler Robinson that they will be turning over to the defense team today in court. The next scheduled portion of the trial will be at the end of October and it Tyler Robinson is expected to appear in person rather than just on video at that time; assuming he's still alive I suppose.... #CharlieKirk

The probable cause hearing is to determine if there is enough to go to trial, it’s not the trial itself. Obviously details will be lacking that you will need at trial, you just don’t need them now. It doesn’t mean the prosecution doesn’t have any more evidence.

It’s been weirdly quiet over Two Tier Keir’s Ukranian arsonist scandal. But now two of the young Ukranian models have put in a Not Guilty plea. That’s awkward for Keir as unless something changes it means it will go to trial AND all the details could come out as the defence will mount a case and call witnesses. The next hearing is at the end of November and trial scheduled for end of April. What’s the betting something mysterious stops the trial..

YNW Melly's witness tampering case is scheduled to go to trial in a few weeks. On Monday (Jan. 5), the Florida rapper appeared in Broward County Court for a motion hearing. During Monday's hearing, both sides filed motions as to what should be admissible in the rapper's witness tampering trial, according to news outlet NBC 6 South Florida. Melly has been behind bars fighting a double-murder case since 2019 and additional witness tampering charges that were tacked on in 2023 after his first trial ended in a mistrial. The witness tampering trial is slated to start on Jan. 21, while the double murder re-trial has been pushed back several times and is now scheduled to take place in 2027. Melly is accused of killing his childhood friends Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams in October of 2018 and making it look like they were victims of a drive-by.
