When I built my Punchbowl Gator National Golf Club in 2019 it was inspired by the 15th at Sleepy. A hole I had only seen photos of. Today my son hit a towering drive, a blind approach and a a Bobby Locke ish cut spin birdie putt that never left the hole. Someday he’ll know what it meant to me that he birdied my favorite hole at one of my favorite places. But not until he’s a dad and he sees his son do it.

NuNew : LUAT ended well. I cried. I cried when JJ (JJ’s character in LUAT) talked to his mom with the sentence that “May I be born as your son in every life?” It's very touching. While I do have my issues with the Digital Circus finale, this one scene stuck out to me with incredible reliability. To me, this scene represents what my relationship with Christ has been at multiple times in my life. I had thoroughly convinced myself that I was undeserving of His love and acceptance, and that I’d rather be left alone to wallow in my own misery. Thankfully He didn’t give up on me, and loved me despite my past flaws and mistakes. That’s instantly where my mind went when watching this in the theater for the first time a couple weeks ago, and has continued to stick in my mind since. How blessed I am to have a Savior who will always come for me, to show me His love even when I’ve messed up and don’t deserve it. That kind of love is what pushes me to be more like Christ every day, and while I’m not perfect, I hope to do my best. 🥹

My dad was a powerlifter with a 750lb back squat when I was a kid. I used to go out to our third stall garage and hear Metallica cranked to 11, see chalk dust filling the air, and watch monster-sized men lift ungodly amounts of iron. My dad was larger than life. As I got older, he got smaller and weaker. But never small and never weak. Just less that his peak. However, as I've gotten older, in my view, he’s only gotten grander. He suffered for our family. He fell down many times in business, but kept getting back up. He never stopped loving my mom. He always supported me and my siblings. I know many had poor examples of fatherhood, and my dad could have said the same. But, he learned from his dad’s mistakes and gave our family an incredible life. I now carry on what he left me for my own family.

4 years old. 38 seizures in his life that we know of. This happened in his SLEEP. The 6th one to happen while hes sleeping! If I didn't wake up I may not have my son. I'm scared to have him out of my eye sight. He has no device he has no service animal he only has ME !
