So, last night decided to just chuck a curve-ball and see how players would react to trying to throw some combination ladders (A to C through B Dummy) and into a possession box promoting a point for success & what followed was: > Quick Successes after Untidy Chaos > Combination Play Improved > Players Scanning for Each Other > Going Into Crowded Areas It didn't quite transfer into the 8v8 with the big goals at the end but it has seemed to challenge players to play off 3rd players and combinations much quicker and with a more direct route through traffic. Crying as I type this but fuck it, vulnerable post incoming 🥹 This year so far has been one of the most difficult in my career and to be honest, I have been struggling with a lot of things in and out of work. Conor Neill: "If you can't write it clearly, the thinking was weak, not the writing" "To believe that something that feels clear in your head is thinking that's a very dangerous thing. When you try to put it down on a page, when you try to lay out your ideas in a structured order that someone else can digest, and you realize that you can't, I suggest the thinking was weak, not the writing." Neill explains his philosophy: "Writing is thinking. The process of taking a notepad, capturing thoughts, laying out the things that I'm thinking about, that is thinking. Sitting and staring out a window, maybe with a cigarette, whatever it is that you think is philosophizing that is not structured thinking. It's only when you're writing down and structuring, getting order into your thoughts on a page so that another person is able to get into the context, the perspective, the different things that you are pulling in to have your worldview." He shares a simple technique: "No matter what you are writing, whether it's an email, a Word document, when you've got a blank sheet of paper, start with the word 'This.' T-H-I-S. Starting with the word 'This' forces you to explain what the document is. It forces you to articulate to the reader what it is that they are holding. It forces you to describe why this document exists, what the objective is. And if you begin with the objective, it helps the reader, and it helps you articulate clearly why you are taking the time to write." Neill shares the most-read post on his blog: "The one post that has got far more views than any other is a post I wrote called 'Why Amazon Banned PowerPoint.' In Amazon, if a presenter wishes to ask people to agree to a budget, to agree to give them resources, they don't use PowerPoint. Uranus2324 Movie and Character relationship analysis 🪐🤿 [Note:] I’ll be using the extended version in my analysis for a few reasons. I’ve seen some people say that version felt too “fanservice-y,” which is apparently why they changed it, but I don’t agree. The extended cut includes extra scenes with Lin and her dad that I think are important, plus a few others that actually made this (admittedly confusing at times) movie make a lot more sense to me. So if you find yourself thinking, “Wait, I didn’t see that when I watched it,” you’re probably watching the unextended version. Uranus2324 is a movie loved by many FB fans, but it also sits on that shelf of “I’ll watch it once and probably not again” for a lot of people. With this analysis, I hope you come away with a better understanding of the film. If you’ve seen it before and didn’t quite get it, I really invite you to rewatch it through this lens. This movie admittedly has some editing choices that make it confusing at times. But after sitting down and watching it about five times now, I think I’ve finally figured out which universe is which and who’s who. I’ll explain that part in the solo character breakdowns I’ll be doing at the start. I’ll also be focusing on Kath and Lin’s relationship, but not on intimacy, since the love scene(s?) were cut from the final version. And I’m sorry, but if it’s not in the extended version, I won’t be including it in the analysis. HOWEVER, there is a scene in the WWII universe that’s extremely intimate without a single word of dialogue, and that’s one I’ll be digging into later. My photo of a wild feral Rose-ringed Parakeet at Hyde Park caused quite a stir! Amongst the many Parakeet detractors was a famous pop star living in Manchester.. My opinion is this... whatever the pest status of this beautiful bird, whatever issues they may cause... it's not the birds fault.. Most, if not all, instances of invasive alien species are down to man. It was man who introduced them, either purposely or unwittingly, into ecosystems that they do not belong in. As a bird lover, my main concern is how their presence affects our native species.. Will they compete for food and nest sites? The Parakeet population is growing rapidly and spreading across the UK... I was very surprised to hear from the aforementioned pop star that there is already a big population in Manchester! It's not all bad news for our native birds though, apparently Peregrine Falcons have taken to preying on Parakeets, so there are some natural controls at least! In Hyde Park, some of the Parakeets have braved taking nuts and apples directly from tourists.... as shown in my video from the weekend. There's no doubt that they're beautiful birds, though it feels very surreal seeing such an exotic species living wild in the UK. What are your thoughts? 🐦

Destiny 2 left a permanent mark on my life. The memories I’ve made with this game, both as a player and as someone lucky enough to work on it, will forever stay with me. Not just because of late nights running King’s Fall with friends, or grinding out the Crucible Glorious Seal in solo queue like a complete maniac, but because Destiny 2 challenged me, shaped me, and pushed me toward becoming the creative I am today. My journey into digital art and photography started back in 2007, when I began taking screenshots in Halo 3 and entering Bungie community art contests. The relationships I built during that time eventually opened the door to an opportunity with Bungie’s Gameplay Capture team in 2014, helping the team capture footage for a new game called Destiny. I had no idea then that a commendably short two-week contract would turn into an incredible 12-year journey with this franchise. I originally came to Bungie hoping to pursue environmental concept art, but along the way I had the opportunity to work on marketing art and quickly fell in love with it. Creating marketing art for a franchise like Destiny challenged me in so many different ways. It forced me to expand my technical, creative, and communication skill sets, constantly adapt, and keep learning new tools and workflows just to keep pace with the live-service beast that was Destiny 2. It means a lot to be able to look back and say with confidence that I had a visual impact on Destiny 2; but the most meaningful part of it all was getting to work alongside and learn from so many incredible artists at Bungie, and seeing firsthand just how much care, effort, and humanity it takes to make work like this possible. It’s hard to fully capture how much energy, skill, and collaboration goes into every visual part of a game like Destiny 2. That work is shaped by artists from different backgrounds, experiences, disciplines, and perspectives. Each of them, including me, left a small part of themselves in what they created. To me, that’s what makes a game like Destiny 2 feel truly meaningful and memorable. Especially now, in a world increasingly saturated with content and driven by instant output and gratification through AI, I keep coming back to the value of process. For me, and for so many of my peers, it was never only about arriving at the final image. It was about the journey it took to get there. The late nights. The iteration. The problem-solving. The trust. The shared pursuit of trying to make something special. To my peers, I’m deeply proud of what we built together, but even more grateful for how we built it. We challenged each other, inspired each other, and kept showing up for one another through every high and low, as Destiny 2 has had many. That kind of shared effort leaves a lasting mark. What we made mattered. What we gave mattered. And the impact of what we built together will stay with us, and this community, for a long time. Shoutout to the current and former members of Creative Studios, the VizD team, and the many Bungie developers and marketers who helped shape this chapter of my life. I’m especially grateful to the teammates who believed in me, encouraged me to embrace failure and new beginnings as essential parts of artistic growth, and pushed me to take on challenges even when they felt beyond my reach. You showed me that the strength of a team will always surpass that of any individual hero. As my work on #Destiny2 comes to a close and I look toward the future, I plan to spend the next few weeks sharing some of the pieces I had the chance to create or art direct that mean the most to me. For now, I’ll leave you all with a collage of some of my personal favorite pieces to work on across Destiny 2’s lifetime. These projects mean so much to me because many of them started as personal passion projects or late-night concept sketches, inspired by playing early builds of Destiny 2 and by the incredible work of our development team.
