RIMPAC 2026, the 30th iteration of the exercise, began June 24 and brought together 30 nations, more than 30,000 personnel, 30 surface ships, five submarines, and more than 197 aircraft under the theme, Partners: Integrated and Prepared. Throughout five weeks of realistic training, participating forces enhanced combined and joint interoperability, strengthened readiness, and reinforced the partnerships that support maritime security across the Indo-Pacific “No single nation can ensure security in the Pacific alone,” said U.S. Navy Vice Adm. On the 26th of September 2023, the MV Matthew was interdicted by the Joint Task Force (JTF) on Drug Interdiction. The JTF consists of the Revenue Customs Service, An Garda Síochána and the Naval Service as the lead representatives for the Defence Forces. During this operation, all three services of Óglaigh na hÉireann were deployed. The Naval Service's L.E. William Butler Yeats interdicted the MV Matthew, while the Air Corps' C295 and PC12 provided surveillance and overwatch to enable an AW139 to deploy members of the Army Ranger Wing by fast rope onto the MV Matthew to secure and take control of the vessel. These unique skillsets provided by Óglaigh na hÉireann, supported Revenue Customs Service and An Garda Síochána in making the largest drugs seizure in the history of the state. The operation represents the culmination of the constant planning and preparation conducted by our people, across all the three services of Óglaigh na hÉireann.

WHO WERE THE CIVILIZED AND WHO WERE THE SAVAGES? They said they came to civilise. But what they brought was nothing but savagery. From Haiti to Australia to the Pacific Islands, this video unpacks the brutal truth behind Europe’s so-called ‘civilising mission.’ The Taíno and Arawak peoples of Haiti, once thriving communities with deep spiritual and agricultural systems, were nearly wiped out within decades of Columbus’s arrival. During Mexico's morning press briefing (mañanera), Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Omar García Harfuch provided an update on the violence triggered by the arrest attempt and subsequent death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias "El Mencho," leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). He reported a total of 85 blockades nationwide in response to the operation, all of which have now been cleared and brought under control by authorities. Additionally, 70 individuals were detained in connection with the unrest. Authorities recorded 27 attacks on security forces, described as cowardly acts of aggression. Tragically, these resulted in the deaths of: 25 members of the National Guard 1 custodian/prison guard 1 member of the Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office 1 civilian woman. A further 15 members of security forces were injured. On the criminal side, 34 hitmen (associated with the cartel) were neutralized/eliminated during the clashes and response operations. The secretary emphasized that order has been restored across the affected areas following coordinated efforts by federal and state forces.

#ISPR Rawalpindi, 08 October, 2025 Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (#COAS), #Pakistan Army, presided over the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi. The Forum commenced with Fateha for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks orchestrated by Indian terror proxies. The COAS commended the spirit, resolve and determination of the Pakistan Armed Forces in war against foreign-sponsored terror proxies and during extensive relief and rescue operations in the aftermath of recent floods, in conjunction with civil administration and other law enforcement agencies. The Forum undertook a comprehensive review of ongoing counter-terrorism operations, emerging threat paradigm and operational readiness. The forum reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain ready to thwart inimical designs of Pakistan’s adversaries across all domains. The existing nexus between terror and crime with vested political patronage which is gravely hurting the interests of State and security of its people, will not be allowed to continue anymore, come what may. The Forum expressed grave concerns on the recent irresponsible and unwarranted provocative statements by Indian civil and military leadership. Such rhetoric conforms to the well-known Indian propensity of whipping up war hysteria for political benefits. The participants agreed that unwarranted warmongering is likely to lead to heightened tensions and will endanger regional peace and security. The Forum pledged to counter any Indian aggression with a swift and decisive response, shattering any perceived notion of India’s relative safety accruing from geography. Any imaginary new normal will be met with a new normal of swift retributive response. The participants expressed resolve to pursue comprehensive counterterrorism operations across all domains to continue to dismantle the networks of Indian-sponsored terror proxies like Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan.
