🇺🇸 Talk of using nuclear weapons has moved from the fringe into the mainstream conversation. Trita Parsi, Quincy Institute EVP, says the danger sits in the pattern rather than in any single voice, and in who keeps deciding to leak: "We are in a situation in which nuclear weapons,... show more

Trita Parsi Trita Parsi, Executive Vice President of Quincy Institute, is reportedly being investigated by the U.S. Administration and may be in danger of being deported. I can only hope that is a scare tactic, or just fake news, bc not only would such an attempt to silence a critic of America's foolish war in Iran be unconstitutional, it would be incredibly foolish. Trita has been on our show many times, and has ALWAYS been a voice of reason, of intelligence, and perhaps most of all: pro-America. He is a genuine America-firster and all of his advice and critique has been centered on trying to convince the government to avoid policies that are harmful to us and to pursue policies from which we can benefit. We need more men like Trita Parsi in the national dialogue.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Sanctions with no exit attached read as regime change, and Tehran responds accordingly. Trita Parsi, Quincy Institute EVP, says a pressure campaign that offers nothing to accept isn't a negotiating position at all, which is why it keeps producing counter-escalation rather than concessions. And the pain never lands where it's aimed. Ordinary Iranians feel the shortages first while the leadership feels them last, which means the people with the power to change course are the ones least pressured to do it. Trita Parsi

Dr. Trita Parsi (Trita Parsi) | Middle East Expert | Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft: The debate inside Iran has shifted dramatically in favor of weaponization - becoming a problem for any deal. The new Supreme Leader has neither reinstated nor rejected the fatwa against nuclear weapons. Previously, majority of Iran's security establishment did not consider nuclear as a strategic asset. That has now dramatically changed. Depending on negotiations, Iran may move toward establishing deterrence short of a nuclear weapon. Or toward nuclear weapons becoming a conceivable & even plausible option.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Deep ideological divides inside the U.S government are driving a wildly schizophrenic strategy in the Middle East. Quincy Institute EVP Trita Parsi points out that while official strategy documents advocate stepping back from regional quagmires, active military blockades prove the exact opposite is happening. He warns that clashes between non-interventionists and hardliners within the Trump administration make any long-term diplomatic off-ramp nearly impossible. Trita Parsi

🇺🇸 When Trump says he won't strike, Iranians in Telegram groups immediately start telling each other to prepare the launchers. Executive Vice President of the Quincy Institute Trita Parsi explains why Trump's reassurances trigger more fear than his threats. "When Trump denies something, it is equally plausible to say that that is a denial, or to interpret that as a confirmation of what he's claiming that he's denying." The pattern before February. The pattern before June. It's happening again. Trita Parsi

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 A humiliated Trump after the midterms may be more willing to strike Iran, not less. Trita Parsi, Quincy Institute EVP, says Tehran expects a weakened president to be easier to handle, and he thinks that reads the man backwards. He points to late 2020, when he says Trump went looking for a confrontation with Iran and the Joint Chiefs stepped in to stop it: "This is an administration whose strategic compass is the mood of the president on any given day." Dr. Trita Parsi (Trita Parsi) | Middle East Expert | Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft: A final deal is not close. Further escalation is entirely possible. We are in a new scenario - war & diplomacy happening simultaneously. In the past, it was one or the other. This is also starting to resemble Ukraine - where diplomacy under Trump keeps going in circles without moving in any direction. The key difference is that the economic impact of Hormuz disruption is greater than that of Ukraine war. If war escalates, the geo-economic consequences will be far deeper - destabilizing energy markets in ways Ukraine war never did.

Trita Parsi is a pathological liar and a think tank agent of Washington DC. Here he falsely claims to Deutsche Welle that Iran (which Xumas conveniently clipped) allowed US coalition forces to use Iranian airspace and air bases in 1991 against Iraq. This is profoundly false and there is 0 evidence of such a thing happening. The OPPOSITE happened: Iran, alongside Libya, were refuges for Iraqi commercial and military aircraft to escape US coalition attacks. Iran is one of the few countries to also continue trade with Iraq in the 1990s despite the US-led UN sanctions campaign. Trita Parsi and his think tank, Quincy Institute, receive funding from George Soros and the Open Societies Foundation. Parsi and the Quincy Institute also propagated atrocity porn narratives against Iran in 2022 and again in 2026. Trita Parsi represents the "smarter" brand of Washington DC regime changers through carrot-and-stick maneuvers (very Obama-era-esque) compared to boomer war hawks.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump has dropped every demand except the nuclear weapons one, and that may be the key to avoiding war. Trita Parsi broke down why this shift in tone changes everything. "That may prove to be absolutely crucial, because that was the original red line that he had a year and a half ago. And had he stuck with that red line and not shifted to the Israeli red line of no enrichment, then there wouldn't have been a war back in the summer in the first place." Trita Parsi

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Washington called the strike defensive. Iran answered across Jordan and the UAE. Trita Parsi, Quincy Institute EVP, walks through how a limited operation stopped being limited the moment it landed, because the distinction Washington drew for its own audience meant nothing in Tehran: "They responded disproportionately." Every round widens the map a little further, and neither capital has shown anyone where the exit sits. Trita Parsi

The Trump administration has opened an investigation into prominent Iran war critic and frequent BT Live guest Trita Parsi (Trita Parsi), according to a report in The Free Press, citing US officials and reviewed documents. Parsi, co-founder and executive vice president of the Quincy Institute and co-founder of NIAC, was born in Iran and holds Swedish citizenship. A vocal critic of ongoing US military attacks on Iran, Parsi could face deportation. An unnamed Trump official quoted in the Free Press report confirmed the investigation is connected to State Department efforts to remove “anyone who seeks to undermine the US."

🇮🇷🇺🇸 Trita Parsi put a number on it: better than 80% odds the fighting escalates past March and April's intensity, inside the next month. He's clear it isn't there yet. Fewer targets, lower tempo. He just doesn't think the direction is in question. "Some of the nightmare scenarios we talked about last time that did not happen are happening now, which means that some of the other ones that did not happen may happen as well" Parsi says that restraint is gone. Whatever gets hit now, Iran intends to hit something equivalent back. Escalation risk accepted rather than avoided. Trita Parsi

It is very interesting to see in a political debate show in Iran, NIAC and Trita Parsi being openly discussed as (failed) lobbyists for the Islamic republic. 1. In the first clip the participant, notably Foad Izadi, the ultra conservative Saeed Jalili's ally discuses the failure of Trita Parsi as a lobbyist.
