Miko did everything she could kindly and peacefully to advise Kodiak against escalating with people he was fighting because they were targeting his friends. She got firmer with him as people got doxxed and he took it as her calling him a cowered and lashed out and flipped on her. Miko only tried to advise him on what would prevent escalation and from getting people hurt. Instead he went on a warpath, casting out friends attacking others and teaming up with the don to help perpetuate lies against Miko and he helped with passing info for thedonofeverythings doxx info and data archive along with neevin. Miko's attempt to help him from going down a bad path was repaid by a large knife in the back, and he went after me for being Miko's friend. Every kindness I gave him he was just taking advantage of me. For the children's charity event, he even decided last minute to keep part of the money for the children's hospitals. Video attached so you can hear it in his own words. he asked for money for his home repeatedly on short urgent notice for hundreds of dollars, and just left me on the proverbial side of the road because I was friends with Miko who was trying to give him advice so his friends wouldn't get hurt by him provoking others. I became friends with Kodi because he wanted support as a veteran for men's mental health month, i met him through Miko. It was in my first months of being a streamer, I had no clue what kind of person he was I was looking to make friends and he was fun to play games with. I knew he was hard into politics and that wasn't my thing and time spent with him was focused on playing games. he was becoming friends with my husband and talking to him about army stuff, and abandoned him as well without a word. Right in the middle of a gaming campaign together. he abandoned his "fellow army veteran buddy" without one single word or DM. Whatever Kodiak does with his life, I hope he finds a path that's good and helpful to others and creates more peace than harm. Talking about P’Keng 🐰: These days, we see each other almost every day. We’ve known each other since the very beginning, ever since I first joined DMD. In a year since I first met Arnav Kapur, his device, AlterEgo, went from a janky prototype to simulating telepathy. Arnav has been an inspiration to me since I'd first heard of him in 7yrs ago and I want to share his story.: I first heard of Arnav from his viral ~1M hits MIT Media Lab video from 2017. It harkened back to a similar talk from the same group by another Indian in 2019, Pranav Mistry, one of the major reasons I (and many others) decided to study in the US. I met him through his younger brother, who I'd gotten to know over the years (also a genius in his own right). I immediately asked him "Why didn't you commercialize this? Was this just a flashy academic demo?" and he said "I'm doing that now. With LLMs, I think it's finally time." But the first demo was janky. It took 15 mins to set up. Electrodes needed to be taped to your cheeks. It worked maybe 80% of the time. Calibration for new users took even longer. And it could only say 4000 sentences. Yet, it still felt like magic. I pointed at one of the sentences for his colleague Scott to say silently. In seconds, barely moving a muscle, I'd get a text of that sentence to my phone. I couldn't see his mouth move at all! But was silent speech really possible? Hardware is hard. There were too many sensors for it to be usable. It didn't work without constant touch to your skin (a beard was an issue). Too much head movement was an issue. The battery was external. Calibration was too much friction. And you could only say a few sentences! Fast forward a year and you have what resembles telepathy. The sensors shrank. The device resembled open-ear headphones. No 15 min set up. And you can say most words. Alterego reads volumetric fine-grained neuromuscular signals in multiple languages and translates them into text. It allows you to understand what the user's saying with no noise while they barely move their mouth. Hardware is still hard. And there's a long way to go before this is end-user usable. But it takes some serious courage and exceptional engineering skills to dedicate over a decade of your life to building hardware that resembles the future. We need more engineers like Arnav and his team.

My wife in 2012 took her own life… and one of [my kids] was worrying to me because he never processed his mom’s death in a way that I could observe. About five years ago… he went to Patagonia to kayak a white water river that I kayaked for many, many years… The night my son arrived there, the guy [he stayed with] said to him ‘I’m doing an ayahuasca trip tonight’… so my kid ended up doing this. After he drank the ayahuasca… he felt himself sinking through all the geological strata of the Earth, and he told me… he had a total understanding of all of the processes that had laid them out through the eons. He ended up being propelled out the other side of the Earth and then floating through space for what he experienced as hundreds of years. He would focus on a distant planet and be transported there, and on each planet he would have an adventure and at the end there would be a lesson that he was supposed to remember. The last planet he visited, his mother was there. And she started passing through him, in and out of him again and again and every time she did that, he felt all these experiences of forgiveness, of love, of understanding, of comprehension, of empathy and compassion. When he came back from that trip, he was completely changed. He was very open about talking about his feelings, [but] the reason I really know that it changed him is he started taking out the garbage and doing the dishes. I have a friend who’s a Navy SEAL who had severe PTSD and he went to Costa Rica and had the same kind of experience. I have a couple of other friends who are in the NFL and they also had severe brain injuries and depression, and the same thing happened. So, my mind is open to the idea that there may be things that I don’t know about and that people ought to have the freedom and liberty to experiment with these things.”

Anthony Kim will play with Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm tomorrow in the final group at LIV Golf Adelaide. They spoke about AK’s story: Bryson: “What an incredible story, first off. Going from the lowest of lows, almost moving away from this earth and then coming back and really taking accountability and raising his little girl and being a family man and being 1 percent better every day. It's an inspiring story that I think honestly should have a lot more media attention than it does. It deserves that. “It shows some of the opportunities that LIV Golf can provide and give hope to people. It's another opportunity to play. I think that's what's so brilliant about it is you've got a guy like that that's struggled pretty much his entire career, and this is really when he has become more of himself than any other time, more of a family man, a father, a great person that cares deeply about playing good golf now. That's all he cares about, and he loves it. I think that's really inspiring for anybody at any age, that you can pick it up and be a better person. “My hats off to him for doing everything he's doing, working as hard as he has to get back. He's an incredible talent, obviously; we know that. He's starting to show it, and for him to be in the final group will be fun. I actually haven't played with him yet, so it'll be fun to see how he golfs his ball.” Jon: “I was able to enjoy a car ride back to the hotel from the golf course in Riyadh, which somehow there's traffic at midnight there, so it was quite a bit over an hour, and he shared quite a bit of his story with me. Didn't really miss a shot. Shot 5-under and should have been lower because he did not make many putts. It was a flawless round of golf. It's impressive. It's impressive. “To see him now being part of a team after earning his spot back in the league, making a 15-footer on the second day to get into the final qualifying day, he's been proving it. “After everything he's gone through, if there's somebody that's not going to be scared to be out here and have to make the putts, it's somebody him like. It deserves that. “It shows some of the opportunities that LIV Golf can provide and give hope to people. It's another opportunity to play. I think that's what's so brilliant about it is you've got a guy like that that's struggled pretty much his entire career, and this is really when he has become more of himself than any other time, more of a family man, a father, a great person that cares deeply about playing good golf now. That's all he cares about, and he loves it. I think that's really inspiring for anybody at any age, that you can pick it up and be a better person. “My hats off to him for doing everything he's doing, working as hard as he has to get back. He's an incredible talent, obviously; we know that. He's starting to show it, and for him to be in the final group will be fun. I actually haven't played with him yet, so it'll be fun to see how he golfs his ball.” Jon: “I was able to enjoy a car ride back to the hotel from the golf course in Riyadh, which somehow there's traffic at midnight there, so it was quite a bit over an hour, and he shared quite a bit of his story with me. What he's doing is nothing short of remarkable. “I really hope he can find the right person to tell his story, however form, movie, documentary series, book, whatever it is, because what he's doing is so impressive. Where he was at in life to where he's at now -- I've been able to play with him. I played in Singapore in his first season with him early on. Both of us played with him here last year in the first round, and I played with him yesterday, and the progression, the jump from those two times to yesterday, it's impressive. “The round he played yesterday on not the easiest golf course was incredible. Didn't really miss a shot. Shot 5-under and should have been lower because he did not make many putts. It was a flawless round of golf. It's impressive. It's impressive. “To see him now being part of a team after earning his spot back in the league, making a 15-footer on the second day to get into the final qualifying day, he's been proving it. “After everything he's gone through, if there's somebody that's not going to be scared to be out here and have to make the putts, it's somebody him like. I wouldn't be surprised if at this point this season he's somebody who's hoisting the trophy at the end of the week.” Hopefully AK can put on a show tomorrow and contend with them 👊

Bob Dylan on why he changed his name: "Some people get born to the wrong names, wrong parents. I mean, that happens." As a young musician in Minnesota, Dylan went through several names before landing on the one the world knows him by. He went by Elston Gun first. Then Robert Allen. Then he changed Allen to Allyn because he thought it looked better. He explains the deeper logic behind needing a new name at all: "I think you have an identity of yourself that maybe others around you are unaware of. So, you've got to start over again in every way you can." It had nothing to do with reinventing his character, he says. He was already who he was. Nobody knew him yet anyway, so whatever name he gave them, they had no choice but to accept it. On how he arrived at Bob Dylan specifically: "I was talking to a guy in KISS one time, Gene Simmons. He used to have another name. But he just said it popped into his head one day. A lot of the rappers give themselves different names because that's who they feel they are. They're not that person everybody knows when they go to school; they're into other things and they need another name. It makes sense." Dylan saw himself the same way. He was into other things. He never felt like Robert Zimmerman, even before he stepped on a stage. "You call yourself what you want to call yourself. This is the land of the free."
