Tamara Lich returns to Ottawa for US ambassador's July 4 party On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant 🍁🚛 Show, Freedom Convoy organizer and Rebel News journalist Tamara Lich 🇨🇦 discussed her experience at the US ambassador's July 4 celebration in Ottawa. Lich attended the event at the ambassador's residence alongside Rebel News CEO Ezra Levant, Director of Production Efrain Monsanto, and Journalist Alexa Lavoie. The July 4 celebration saw hundreds of business leaders, politicians, journalists, and other guests converge in Ottawa's Rockliffe Park to mark America's 250th anniversary. Lich commented on the backlash from some users on social media regarding her attendance at the event. "I think there's a lot of people out there that would rather I was miserable and broken and just demoralized by this whole thing," she said. "But I think you know me well enough by now Ezra to know that I make the most of every situation I'm in, I keep a positive attitude, and I believe we're still going to come out on top in all this," Lich continued. Guests enjoyed fireworks, live music, and a flyover by U.S. F-35 fighter jets as part of the landmark 250th anniversary celebrations. The event drew hundreds despite earlier speculation about lower turnout due to summer scheduling conflicts. Ambassador Hoekstra addressed the crowd, emphasizing strong U.S.-Canada ties while touching on ongoing bilateral issues like trade and infrastructure. Lich described the evening as an honour, noting the opportunity to personally thank the ambassador and American supporters for their backing during the Freedom Convoy.

VIDEO: Watch Charlie Kirk's last words to me Just a few months before he was murdered, Charlie Kirk and I were talking about the state of things in Canada. He was worried about Mark Carney’s election and what might happen to freedom — and to Rebel News. We spoke for more than half an hour. He really cared about our country. He knew a lot about Rebel News, especially our battles for free speech. And he was worried whenever one of our journalists were arrested. Watch the video above to see what he said to me. We talked about what life was like in a country without the First Amendment to protect our free speech. And then he asked me: “Are you guys going to give up?” I told him we’ll never give up. It’s our duty fight for freedom. Like we have for ten full years at Rebel News, thanks to viewers like you. You are the reason I was able to tell him we’d always fight. Because we rely on you, instead of relying on grants from Mark Carney. We’re independent. We take no government money. So we can fight back. We do great journalism, from the trucker convoy in 2022 to the ostrich farm siege in 2025. We have reporters across the country, including in Quebec. But every once in a while we don’t just write about a problem. We stop and get involved in the battle, too, to try to fix it. Like fighting for thousands of people who received huge Covid fines. Defending Christian pastors. Crowdfunding the battle for Tamara Lich. Paying for the lawyer for the Ontario man who defended his house from a home invasion robbery. Standing up for the little guy. It’s that activist side that Charlie loved about us. All of the things Charlie worried about for America are getting worse in Canada in 2026. That’s why Charlie asked me if I’d stay in the battle. He was counting on Rebel News to fight — to cover the news, especially the news that other media won’t cover. He wanted us to continue to take on corruption, and mass immigration, and censorship and to go out among the people and tell their stories, and help fight their battles. He’d be thrilled to know that we have hired Tamara Lich as our newest Rebel. And he’d be excited that we’re going to put her on a campus tour, like Charlie himself would do. I think that’s what he’d want Rebel News to do. What do you think he’d want YOU to do? Mainly, I think he’d want you to not give up, to not be demoralized. To find the energy and hope and faith to keep fighting. And I’d like to think that he’d want you to continue to support us. I won’t presume to speak for him, but he knew we had no big backers — just a lot of little backers, through crowdfunding. He liked that about us. When Charlie told me to keep fighting, I never thought it would be his last request of me. We mention Charlie a fair bit at the Rebel News office; in the new year, Tamara Lich will go from college to college convincing young people to believe in freedom, just like Charlie did. We’re going to have to hire a lot of security for Tamara. In my mind that’s the best way for us to live up to Charlie’s expectations of us, don’t you think? May I invite you to join us, to help me keep my final promise to Charlie? I need your help to protect Tamara, and all of our Rebel journalists who bravely go into the world. We need to pay for security guards, because police just won’t stop Antifa thugs, or transgender extremists. If you contribute $100 or more, we’ll invite you on a special donors-only Zoom call early in the new year, where you can chat with me, Tamara, and our other reporters directly. And any donations of $1,000 or more will also get a one-on-one thank-you phone call from Tamara herself! I want to keep my promise to Charlie, and to you, and to my conscience: I told him I wouldn’t give up, even if things get tough. And I intend to keep that promise. If you can help me — by helping me keep our reporters safe — please do so further down below on this page. Thanks. Charlie Kirk was killed because he was effective at spreading the message of freedom to young people. I believe we can honour his memory by recreating his campus tour here in Canada, featuring Tamara Lich, our newest Rebel reporter. I just need your help with security — we must do what we can to protect her. Please help. Rebel News does ten news stories a day — we tell the other side, as our motto says. But what Charlie loved most about us was when we did things in the world, like Tamara’s upcoming campus tour. Can you please help me make that tour a reality by helping us crowdfund the security for it? Any donation of $100 or more will get you on a private Zoom call with other donors to talk to Tamara and our other reporters! And any donation of $1,000 will also get you a personal one-on-one phone call from her. REPORT by Ezra Levant 🍁🚛:

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Watch Tamara Lich’s first day at work at Rebel News! You may have heard that Tamara Lich (Tamara Lich 🇨🇦), the organizer and driving force behind the Freedom Convoy, has joined Rebel News. And she’s already hit the ground running, filming “man on the street” interviews, talking to real Canadians about freedom, and planning her upcoming campus tour (you can follow along and support her at I couldn’t be more excited to have her on board — even with the challenges of her house arrest slowing us down a bit. 📢 Tamara Lich is under house arrest — so how did we just hire her at Rebel News? Just a few days ago, Tamara Lich 🇨🇦 took her first trip to our Rebel News office as our newest employee! I was there in an Ottawa courtroom when Tamara Lich, the leader of the trucker convoy, was sentenced to a year under house arrest. She’s only allowed to leave her home for medical appointments and church, and a few hours a week to buy groceries. She’s not allowed to go out for dinner or visit friends or even go for a walk. It’s atrocious. But there is another exception: she can leave her home for work. That got me thinking. Tamara has worked with Rebel News before — speaking at our events across Canada, coming on our TV shows and even going on a multi-city book tour to promote her best-selling autobiography. So, with the guidance of Tamara's lawyer, I offered her a formal job. And I sent the job offer to her probation officer, and phoned the probation officer and walked her through it, line by line — including the parts about Tamara travelling. And to my relief, she approved it! So just a few days ago, Tamara took her first trip to our Rebel News office as our newest employee! Obviously it’s a pain in the neck to have to check in with the probation officer every time Tamara travels, and have each trip approved. But if we carefully follow the rules, we will be able to make this work. To me, the most important part of Tamara's job will be our upcoming campus tour, where Tamara will go town by town, like Charlie Kirk did, talking to young people about freedom and hope. She is such a good role model and such a positive person, I truly think she’ll help us win the battle of ideas with young people. But I mentioned Charlie Kirk. And we know about the horrific attack on him that claimed his life. Unfortunately, Canada has seen increasing violence, too, including from Antifa thugs and pro-Hamas extremists. Just last week, a conservative professor, Frances Widdowson, was mobbed by left-wing extremists at the University of Victoria, and police did nothing to protect her. We simply can’t have that happen to our Tamara. So I’ve promised Tamara that we will protect her. We will have professional security guards with her when she goes out in public to do journalism. And when she goes on campus, we’ll have at least four guards assigned just to protect her personally, and more to secure the larger venue. It’s outrageous that police and campus security won’t protect conservatives. No other journalists or activists in Canada have to hire private security guards to keep them safe. At Rebel News, it’s actually one of our largest expenses. It’s unfair, but that’s the world we live in. Will you help me keep Tamara safe on her speaking tour? We’ve set up a website where we’re going to put all of Tamara’s work. Her books, her videos, her podcasts, her news reports. We’ll put her speaking schedule there when it’s firmed up. I get the feeling it’s going to be a very popular website. And at that same place, we have a donation button, dedicated to Tamara’s safety and security. Rebel News crowdfunded her security for her trial, and it cost tens of thousands of dollars. If we put her on a ten-city campus speaking tour, it could well be much higher. But we’re going to do it, because we don’t back down to bullies on the left. I spoke with Tamara and we’re going to have a special plaque made with the names of anyone who donates $250 or more to protect her. We’ll present that plaque to Tamara, and we’ll hang it in our boardroom at Rebel News. And Tamara has offered to personally telephone anyone who chips in $1,000 or more to her security budget. That is so amazing, and it shows her true nature — grateful, humble, and not afraid of hard work. Tamara Lich is one of the finest people I've ever met in my life. It has been an honour to crowdfund her legal fees and her security costs these past two years. And when I heard her atrocious sentence I thought, “we’ve got to find a way to keep her active in the world.” By carefully following the law and reporting to the probation officer, we can make this work. Tamara wins, and Canada wins — and in the meantime, we’ll let the lawyers appeal her conviction. If you’re as excited as I am about Tamara’s new role with us, please help me keep her safe. Go to and chip in for her security detail. And remember: any contributor of $250 or more gets your name on the plaque permanently hung on our office wall. And a contribution of $1,000 or more gets a personal phone call from Tamara herself! I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited about all this. Maybe 2026 won’t be so bad after all! Tamara has worked with us before — her book tour was an amazing experience. She truly loves to meet with supporters. Let’s do that again, on Canadian campuses! I would never forgive myself if I let someone harm her. That’s why we crowdfunded a security guard to walk with her each day to her trial in Ottawa. And that’s why we need to crowdfund security for this campus trip. Please click here to help, if you can. If you’re in a position to give $250 or $1,000 please do. For $250 we’ll put your name on a special plaque, and for $1,000 we’ll have Tamara personally call you! (She’s great.)

Please help me pay for Tamara Lich’s bodyguard tomorrow The City of Ottawa—especially the downtown area around the court house—is home to swarms of crazy, left-wing activists who mill around the courthouse doors. I just spoke with Tamara Lich. She’s back in Ottawa tomorrow and Thursday for her sentencing hearing. But she told me she didn’t have a bodyguard in place for her visit, so Rebel News is making the arrangements for her. You might be wondering, “why would Tamara need a bodyguard?” Well, that’s the thing. The City of Ottawa—especially the downtown area around the court house—is a bit of a failed state. There are swarms of crazy, left-wing activists who mill around just outside the courthouse doors. Many of them are on drugs or obviously mentally ill. Some of them are harmless. But some of them are activists with Antifa or Hamas. (One was recently sentenced to prison for abusive behavior.) And it’s going to be mayhem this week. Which is why Tamara Lich needs a bodyguard. You might recall, Rebel News crowdfunded the cost of her bodyguard and other expenses during the trial itself. Now that she’s back for sentencing, she needs that protection again. I also offered to help her with the costs of coming back and forth from Alberta to Ottawa itself — gas money and hotels. Tamara has already spent 49 days in prison for us. She lost her job. And she’s been put through the indignity of a show trial — the longest mischief trial in Canadian history. The least we can do is help keep her safe while she’s in Ottawa, and to cover some of the out-of-pocket expenses she’s been forced to incur. Please do your part: please help chip in a few bucks to cover her security and travel. As usual, she was too shy to ask, but when I spoke to her about it, she said she’d be grateful for the help. Thank you. Yours truly, Ezra Levant Rebel News P.S. By the way, I’ll be at the hearing tomorrow myself — I’ll have some video reports, and I’ll live-tweet the proceedings on Twitter. P.P.S. We’ll also have our beautiful billboard truck with us!

JUDGEMENT DAY: Ezra Levant 🍁🚛 is in the Ottawa Courthouse for Tamara Lich’s verdict More than three years after the Freedom Convoy was brought to a violent end, two of the protest's organizers, Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, are set to receive their verdicts. I’m sitting in Courtroom Five of the Ottawa Courthouse. A few feet away from me is Tamara Lich, and her co-accused Chris Barber. They have been on trial for “mischief” — that’s what the government has called the trucker convoy. But it’s turned into the longest-running mischief trial in Canadian history. The process has become the punishment. Tamara Lich was the positive, peaceful, loving face of the convoy. She personified its spirit — a place of bouncy castles and hot-tubs, of people singing O Canada and waving the flag. She set the mood and spirit for the most important peaceful civil liberties protest in Canadian history. What a contrast to Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland — scowling, denouncing, sending in riot police, and seizing bank accounts. That’s why they had to prosecute her: they had to knock her down a peg. They know that if she is convicted of a crime, the entire convoy would be besmirched. But I know that the reverse is true: if Tamara Lich is acquitted today, that will vindicate everything the convoy did, and put the government in its place. I’m going to be live-tweeting the results today — the ruling is expected to be over 100 pages long, and the judge intends to read most of it out loud. Follow along on my Twitter account, and I’ll also make occasional video updates during breaks. And: if you’re able to, please help chip in to cover Tamara Lich’s legal fees. The Democracy Fund has been paying the enormous bills of Tamara’s top-flight lawyers. If you can help, please click here, or go to The Democracy Fund is a charity, so you’ll get a charitable tax receipt for your gift. The government has spent more than $10 million in their witch-hunt, between the police and the prosecution. We’ve got to help Tamara fight back. Thanks for your support — and please follow my live-tweeting throughout the day!

Wow… I don’t even know where to begin. Today, “In The Name Of Freedom” became a New York Times Best Seller — both in print and E-book — and was also selected as a USA Today National Best Seller. I’m deeply honored and humbled. To be only the fourth Turkish author ever to make the New York Times Best Seller list, and the 13th NBA player in history to do so, is something I never could have imagined when I started this journey. But this moment isn’t about me. It belongs to everyone who believes in freedom, justice, and truth. Every reader who picked up the book, every person who shared its message, and every single voice that refuses to stay silent in the face of oppression — this is your victory. I want to thank my family, who stood by me through every challenge and sacrifice; my life coach, the late Mr. Fethullah Gülen, whose wisdom, faith, and compassion continue to guide me; the Hizmet community, whose commitment to education, peace, and service inspires me every day; and the human rights community and defenders of freedom around the world, who risk so much to protect others. I also want to thank my amazing publishing family at Simon & Schuster, and my literary agency, Javelin, for believing in this book and helping bring its message to life. Your dedication, care, and vision made this possible. When I wrote In the Name of Freedom, it wasn’t to make headlines — it was to shine a light on the struggles of innocent people around the world who are voiceless. People still fighting for their right to live free, to speak freely, and to dream without fear. This recognition gives us a bigger platform — not to celebrate ourselves, but to keep fighting. To raise awareness, to stand up for those who can’t, and to remind the world that freedom should never be taken for granted. So thank you — to my readers, my supporters, my family, the Hizmet community, Simon & Schuster, Javelin, and everyone who continues to believe that truth is worth telling. This moment belongs to all of you. Let’s keep going. Let’s keep fighting — in the name of freedom.

This is the harrowing reality of what detransitioners face, says Chloe Cole ⭐️: “The moment that I detransitioned, I was human garbage to them. I was subhuman even. … They told me: ‘This is all your fault. Don't put this on us. You were the one who said yes, you were the one who wanted this. You were a complete idiot for not knowing that you weren't truly transgender. So don't come crying to us. And you should shut up about this because you might scare somebody out of getting the care that they really need. And you are a waste of resources. You are a waste of the love and support of your family. You didn't deserve the support of your doctors. You didn't deserve any of this. So stay quiet and stop being a problem.’ …There were people who were trying to compel me to retransition, people who were trying to tell me to kill myself, even just for the fact that I was going against the dogma. And I stayed low for a little bit. I apologized to the same people who were abusing me because I was a freshly traumatized 16 year old girl. I had been bullied in school before, but nobody had ever treated me this horribly over such a painful part of my life. But after a while of being painfully isolated. I started to really think the way that they are treating me is not deserved. I'm speaking to nothing but my experience, to the way that I feel and to reality. I'm going to speak up, regardless of whether they want me to or not. And I just knew that there had to be other detransitioners out there. And very quickly, I learned that they were in the thousands. And I'm sure that it's doubled, tripled, quadrupled over the years, the amount of us who are out there. We are never going to know the real numbers. …And some of the harassment, the hatred I faced over the years has gotten worse. I've been doxxed. I have had people assaulting me, chasing after me in government buildings, who have tried to hurt me, who have wished death upon me.”

I went sourcing for my rent, and I came back home a Landlord. My rent was due since March, I had pleaded with the landlord to give me some time to sort it out, and he had been patient. Business was not doing very well, and we were depending on my wife’s earnings to survive. I have a big brother who grew up in our neighbourhood. He was an artist at the time, and I used to hang around him while he worked. I developed an interest in artwork because of him, and he was my inspiration for studying sculpture and other art forms, which led me to become who I am today. This man had become a politician in another state. I had not seen him in several years, but we exchange messages via text and WhatsApp once in a while, especially regarding some artworks and politics. I never gave him the impression that I was struggling because I felt it would affect our relationship but I was desperate this time around and decided to go and see him. During the Night of Glory, as we ministered to the Lord and words of prophecy were being spoken, the man of God said “I have given it to you, I have supplied you with that heart desire. That thing you have been waiting for and trusting God for is now yours. Share your testimony with me when you receive it.” I heard these words from brother Gbenga, and I couldn’t relate. The only thing I had been thinking about in my heart was how to visit this mentor of mine and ask him for support regarding my rent. I decided that the prophecy was a green light for me to take a step of faith I gathered as much money as my wife could loan me and travelled to this man’s state. I deliberately targeted the primary election period when I was sure he would have to be on the ground in his state and not in Abuja. I met him at home; he had just won his primary election and was in a very good mood. He felt i came around to give him moral support. Later that evening, I told him about my rent issue. He made two calls and told me to go and pick up the keys to the house in Lagos. He also gave me some money to settle all the estate bills and meet other needs. Above all, he gave me a contract that will keep me and my team occupied with good income for a very long time. This is how God turned my story to a song of victory. I picked up the keys to the house yesterday. Glory!!!!!

I was on my mission when President Holland gave his “Safety for the Soul” talk about the Book of Mormon. I remember feeling the fire, but that’s not the talk that had the most impact on my life. While I was a missionary, I discovered a talk he gave called “Within the Clasp of Your Arms.” He wasn’t an apostle at the time. I loved it, but it took many years for me to finally understand it. Most of my childhood was spent growing up with an absent father—visiting him in prison, seeing him get arrested, watching him live as a homeless alcoholic and drug addict, hearing him fight with my mom, or once even threatening to kick us out in the middle of the night. I have some good memories of him, but not many. Then I became a dad. At the time, I was serving as stake clerk and preparing for a stake priesthood meeting. Something reminded me of this talk (I assume it was the Spirit), and I decided to listen to it again. The talk finally hit me like a ton of bricks. The Spirit gave me, I think, the strongest and most loving rebukes I’ve ever received in my life. I was crying on my way to the meeting. I was crying during the meeting. I was crying while listening to my stake president speak—which, ironically, was about being good, loving fathers. I was crying after the meeting. Afterward, we (the stake presidency) met quickly to discuss the meeting, and my stake president, who had noticed all my crying, asked me to give the opening prayer. I never got to meet him, but this experience made me feel closer to him. I’m not a perfect father, and I wasn’t a bad father then. I just had some things I seriously needed to work on. I’ve tried my hardest to live by what I learned that day. I repent when I fail to meet that expectation. I love President Holland. I’m going to miss him.

Good day Pastor Poju , i hope this testimony blesses someone out there and be encouraged to follow the leading of the holyspirit. I live and work in the uk, on June 7th i was accused wrongly at work that led into a police case, i was worried , embarrassed and devastated. I was asked to stop working till the case was resolved . I cried , prayed ( even when i didn’t know the words to say i kept praying, and cried some more) after the last two teachings on speaking in tongues i decided not to use my words anymore and begin to speak in tongues more often on this matter . On monday the 24th of June i got a call from the detective in charge of the case and he asked me to come over on thursday to say my side of the story , i was so worried but something happened on Wednesday( the day before i went to the station) , i was listening to a song titled “After all these years by Todd Galberth” and i had this strong urge in my spirit to begin to speak in tongues all i remember was my head swelling so much and hot tears falling and i continued to press in so deep in tongues ( i have never experienced something this surreal before) . This experience lasted for just 5mins and it felt like 5hrs . Immediately the swelling in my head stopped i knew i had gotten it. On Thursday after i got to the police station, the detective asked me to say my side of the story, i did and after all this he said to Me and my legal representative, in his words “i wasn’t supposed to do this until i have informed the other party involved but i would like to let you know that i would be backing out of the case and have the case closed “ , “please go home and prepare to resume back to work” . At that moment i knew it was the experience from yesterday that turned the whole situation around. Thank you for continually being a voice of reasoning. God’s blessings always on you Dj Pope. You are greatly appreciated.

A message for my TikTok family: In case we lose Tiktok I want to thank you for creating a space that provided me the freedom to be myself. Before this, I was modeling professionally full time and although that was incredible and elevated me from my very humble beginnings in life, I didn’t have the freedom to be myself. How I looked, what I wore and what weight/size I had to maintain was not up to me. Because of you, I was able to prioritize social media, which gave me the freedom to be creative and do what I wanted without compromising a paycheck. It’s afforded me the opportunity to create content that I had creative freedom over. It gave me opportunities that led to collaborations with high profile brands like ESPN, BMW, Coach, Netflix, Mastercard, LG and the list goes on and on. It’s blessed me with being on billboards with my own name on my videos. As a model, you don’t get credited for your work. I was on TV, magazines, print ads and billboards more times than I can count but for the first time in my life, my name was with my image because I wasn’t just a model anymore, I was me. It gave me an identity of my own, not who they dressed me up as that day. When my mom passed away I was completely lost, and that’s when I found you. I had about 800 followers at the time and less than 2 years later there’s 1.2 Million of you on Tiktok alone. I can’t thank you enough for supporting me thru this journey and I look forward to what the future holds. I know this feels like the end of the world for some, but take it from someone who’s already experienced the worst thing that can happen to them.. we will be ok no matter what the outcome is. Accepting the things we can’t control and moving forward despite the setbacks will only make us better. And if we are blessed with being able to keep Tiktok, well we will be that much more grateful. I hope we can connect on other platforms because the thought of losing our community hurts my soul. I love you all with all of my heart and will always stay strong for you, I ask that you do the same. Thank you for getting me thru the most difficult time in my life. Cheers to whatever’s next 🙏🤗🥂
