Eleven years ago, Dr. Kizza Besigye warned us. He saw the creeping danger of Museveni's ambition to turn Uganda into a family fiefdom, a dynasty built on the backs of our freedoms. Today, that prophecy has become a grim reality. Besigye, a man who embodies the true will of the Ugandan people, is unjustly imprisoned, silenced by a regime that fears his voice more than any weapon. Museveni's son, Muhoozi, elevated to the head of the army through nothing more than familial privilege, carries out these orders. This is not leadership; it's the iron fist of a desperate dictatorship clinging to power. They know Besigye holds the true power – the power of the people, the power of truth, the power of a nation yearning for democracy. All they have are guns, and guns cannot silence the yearning for freedom forever. But fear and apathy are their greatest weapons. They want us to believe that resistance is futile, that our voices don't matter. They are wrong. We must refuse to be silenced. The time for complacency is over. This is not just about Besigye; it's about the soul of Uganda. It's about whether we will allow our country to be transformed into a personal possession of one family, or whether we will reclaim our sovereignty and build a future where justice and freedom prevail. We must shed the cloak of apathy and find our courage. Organize. Speak out. Demand the release of Dr. Besigye and all political prisoners. Support those who are working to build a democratic Uganda. Use your voice and your actions to reclaim your country. The will of the people is a force more powerful than any army. Let us show Museveni and his son that Uganda belongs to its people, and we will not rest until freedom reigns! #FreeKizzaBesigye #FreeEronKiiza #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #MuseveniMustGo #EndMilitaryRule

In the wee hours of the morning of 19th Jan 2026 in the chilly weather of Rabat, I kept turning in my bed accepting that; Despite achieving a multitude of historic milestones as the President of FUFA None of them makes me as emotional as realizing my childhood dream. The first AFCON I watched was 1992 and was supporting Senegal 🇸🇳 the hosts because of Jules Bocande (RIP). I then asked why was Uganda not in the competition and everyone laughed at me. I said one day we shall play while hosting that AFCON and the laughter was even louder. Uganda had missed 7 previous editions without any infrastructure to host I watched each yet helplessly Uganda fail to qualify for the next 7 editions (1994-2004). As part of the administration Uganda further painfully missed the next 5 editions (2006-2013) As FUFA President, Uganda missed the 1 edition (2015) and finally cracked the code for 2017. Now Uganda will be at 4 editions in 10 years in 2027 Now taking Uganda 🇺🇬 to AFCON after 40 years of failing is great but bringing AFCON to Uganda is not just historic but realizing a childhood dream by participating not observing Now we must not only qualify but compete at AFCON Thank you Government of Uganda Government of Kenya Tanzania Government Football Kenya Federation TFF TANZANIA FUFA CAF for believing in this project Welcome the World, Welcome Africa to East Africa in general and to our motherland Uganda in particular Karibuni Africa Masharik Pamoja ni uwezo Allah Akbar

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Since his appointment as Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in July 2022, Hon. Norbert Mao has delivered tangible results with integrity, vision, and unwavering commitment to justice for all Ugandans as he points some of them in this video (📌Listen) He has championed greater access to justice, tackled inequalities where the law too often favors the rich and powerful, and aggressively promoted 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (ADR) to make our courts faster, fairer, and more efficient. Under his leadership, the 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 (JLOS) has seen stronger collaboration between government and development partners, while pushing forward long-overdue constitutional review processes after decades of stagnation. A seasoned lawyer, former Gulu LC5 Chairman, three-time presidential candidate, and Democratic Party President, Mao brings independent, principled leadership, the kind that balances the House, fights grand corruption, and ensures Parliament of Uganda serves the people, not just the powerful. In a time when Uganda needs fresh, competent, and unifying leadership in the Speaker’s chair, Hon. Norbert Mao stands ready to steer Parliament with fairness, vibrancy, and respect for the Constitution. This is not just about one man, it’s about building a better Uganda. I support Hon. Norbert Mao for Speaker because results matter, experience counts, and integrity is non-negotiable.
