That is one reason why I have a RFD blocking wallet. People get their cards stolen all the time by clandenstine readers.

Get a lead wallets, Signals can’t get through. Use lead paint on house to stop signals from entering your house. Hell we used to paint our houses before 1990 with lead paint. Till they started saying it’s poison. I wonder why that is

This happens to me 2 years ago at a grocery store. I immediately bought RFID sleeves to put my cards in, you can also buy an RFID lined wallet. People with Readers can just go by you, and steal your credit card info. Everyone, get RFID sleeves for your credit cards!

That’s why people need to get a RFID-blocking wallet to block the reading frequencies. And it doesn’t just happen at shopping places.

The reader scans every card that comes within 6 feet. Once they have you identified by your loyalty card, they can pull from the preferred card within reach. It is possible that card issuers are paying card processors to prefer their card use. Holding your card to the reader does not initiate the reading, it initiates the purchase by the preferred card within reach. The card use contract is designed for you to hold your wallet to the reader. That is how they prefer you use it.

Next time, I guess I’ll just take one card with me. 😂

This happened to me during hurricane prep! I was so pissed off, and no one would do anything about it. I specifically had funds for prescriptions on one card and the other for small purchases at the Dollar General. The clerk said in a snarky tone, "It's not my pay grade." 😒

It's BS, because the reader can tell apart the tags and might select the one with the higher response signal level; cards are passive NFC, which is 5-10cm / active NFC is alike 10-20 cm. So how would it reach that far, assuming no gate, where one would pass an induction beam?
