Target Display Mode is back, babbyy! Running at full 4K on my Intel 21.5" iMac. Backported Ethan Lipnik's MirageKit to macOS 13, turning this useless iMac into an excellent monitor.

I have a G4 iMac with a Mac Mini inside that I use as a server. I asked Claude Opus to recreate an almost pixel-perfect MacOS X 10.2 desktop with a Finder face and some widgets to monitor how everything is running. It gave it expressions based on CPU state, a pretty close genie effect, a PiP view of the real desktop and a sleep mode that turns on at night.

The iPad's external display support is underrated. I connected my iPad to a Studio Display and ran Workbench. Now my headless Mac mini (back in Minneapolis) is running full-screen on a 27" display in Ohio. Remote Mac on a Studio Display through an iPad. Pretty wild. 🤯

Here is an up close look at the First Carnotaurus with the lights on. He seems to be in “Idle Mode”, where he is moving slightly back and forth but not running at full speed. When the ride stops, the figures still move for a little while. A cool look at this animatronic! 💡🦖🦕💡

genki sent me an early access key months ago but like an idiot i still haven't made a proper post about this game despite playing it for hours and recommending it to most of my irls (and also having it appear in the imac g5 display vid simply because i was playing it a lot back then, they didn't pay me for that or anything lol) so let me be clear: this is the only modern game where you can challenge a delivery truck on a japanese highway using a sprinter trueno and have it played as straight as possible, while at the same time having everything displayed with a level of graphical fidelity that has no business being this good for such a small studio that enough is worth my purchase recommendation, this game has soul

Turning an old, forgotten shed into a stunning man cave is pure magic. What was once a dusty storage spot becomes this incredibly cool personal sanctuary - stone tones, perfect lighting, comfy seating, and every detail screaming character. Tools on display, cozy corners, and that “this is my world” vibe. The transformation is unreal. From weathered and forgotten to straight-up impressive backyard escape with serious style.

Time to bring this back AGAIN, but if you’re going to EDC or any festival and have an iPhone, turn off your control center access without Face ID or passcode so no one can put it into airplane mode to stop tracking, as well as make sure "find my network" is on🥰

A guy named Philip turned every old iPhone and iPad into a working second monitor for free. It is called OpenDisplay. It gives your Mac a real extended display using an Apple device you already own. You can use it for: > Messages > Spotify > Documentation > Video previews > Terminal windows > Reference material Download the sender on your Mac and the receiver on your iPhone or iPad. Connect them using WiFi or the charging cable. Your Mac creates another display, and you can drag any window onto it exactly like a normal monitor. The screen runs at native Retina resolution and can reach 60 FPS over USB. You can tap to click, drag windows with your finger, scroll using two fingers, and rotate the device into portrait mode. It even supports several devices at the same time. What I really like about this is that it doesn't need an account or subscription or some special dongle. Your screen travels directly between your own devices. Philip built the whole project alone and released the source code on GitHub. Your old iPhone was never useless. It was just waiting for someone to ignore Apple’s rules.

SHE FOUND HER DAD'S OLD 2011 MAC MINI SITTING IN A SAFE AND TURNED IT INTO A FULLY WORKING HERMES AI AGENT MACHINE The starting point: a 14-year-old Mac Mini, Intel Core i5, macOS officially unsupported at this point. Instead of tossing it, here's what she did: → Wiped macOS entirely, installed Ubuntu instead → Skipped WiFi setup, connected it straight to the router → Pulled the drivers, ran the full install → Set it up for remote access over SSH – no monitor or keyboard needed after this point → Installed Hermes Agent directly on it A machine most people would've written off as e-waste is now a fully remote-controllable AI agent box. This is the part people underestimate about old hardware: you don't need the newest Mac Mini or a $2K rig to run a real AI agent. You need Linux, SSH, and the willingness to actually try. Bookmark this. What she builds on it next is worth watching for.

🚨 WOW! Sec. Scott Bessent just revealed that the Iranian regime is panicking, "RUNNING OUT of ways to MOVE MONEY" after Treasury just dismantled a massive Iranian currency network He's going full economic assassin mode right now 🔥 "Iran’s shadow banking system is buckling under Economic Fury, and the regime is running out of ways to move money. Every facilitator that keeps the regime afloat is putting a target on its own back." "Treasury will continue to expose these networks and cut them off from the U.S. financial system." This comes after Bessent SEIZED $130M in crypto wallets linked to the IRGC This man does NOT screw around.

How cool is this? UCA RB James Jointer is truly in a full-circle moment as he's reunited with Will Kennedy, who coaches running backs at UCA but used to be an assistant coach at Arkansas when Jointer was a Razorback. In fact, Coach Kennedy moved Jointer into his dorm his first day at Arkansas. 🥲 Now they are back together again at UCA, hoping for big things with the Bears this season! #BearClawsUp #WPS

Diagonal delivery vs L shape delivery. When I got up to 95, all I thought about was getting as deep into my back leg as possible. When I made the jump to 98, what I did was get into that drop a lot quicker. Now as I train to throw 100, I’m starting to think about it differently. If I sink too deep into my back leg, I create more of a drop and drive delivery where I have to drop first and then create energy toward the target. Rather than having it happen at the same time. Where I’m going down and out at the same rate. That’s the most efficient way to create as much energy toward the target as possible. One of the big fixes I’ve made is dropping into the inside of my back foot. Rather than putting force into the whole foot. This prevents me from getting too deep because I can’t get into a squat position when I’m putting force into the inside of my back leg. It also helps me create more energy toward the target. When you put force into the inside of your back foot, you’ll naturally move forward more than you move down. I also created a full guide on this, so if you want it, comment guide and I’ll send it through to you.

LEGS IN THE DOWNSWING If you are curious about what is happening from the hips down in the downswing, this video is for you. As we start our movement towards the target, it’s important we don’t go into hip extension too early (Early Extension). There should be a phase where we get back into flexion, before extending to the target. It’s essential to know that extension is powerful, especially when it occurs at the right time in the right direction. This clip was taken from an online lesson to one of my Skillest subscribers. Try this out and let me know how it goes! #golf #golfcoaching #golfinstruction #riggsgolf

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Every deep strike into Russia hands the Kremlin the argument it wanted. Geopolitical analyst Glenn Diesen says the NATO-backed campaign has done Moscow's messaging work for it, turning an abstract claim into something Russians can point at: "All these deep strikes only essentially prove the Kremlin point that this is an existential threat. NATO is using Ukraine to weaken and destroy Russia." Warehouses, ports, bridges and gas stations have all moved onto the target list, and the brutality on both sides is deliberate rather than incidental. Glenn Diesen

I’ve run 12+ miles per day for nearly 3,000 straight days and now I’m turning it into a daily series to give you guys full access to how I do it, let you guys pick challenges for me to complete, and hopefully use my story to inspire you guys. And this new series on my running streak is simply called “The Running Steak” (I know really creative!) How should I spice up these runs, what stories do you want to hear about the streak, what do you want me to wear? Leave comments and suggests, anything that is not totally dangerous & impossible is on the table!

REMEMBER WHEN WCW TURNED AN ARM WRESTLING CONTEST INTO ABSOLUTE CHAOS? During the final year of WCW, they were throwing everything at the wall—including an arm wrestling contest on Thunder between Miss Hancock and Major Gunns. What was supposed to be a simple display of strength instantly devolved into full-blown ringside madness the second David Flair and M.I. Smooth got involved. Looking back at 2000, was wild gimmick segments like this peak guilty-pleasure TV, or a sign WCW was completely off the rails?
