So what do we do about those that are applied to us that have devastated American manufacturing? I work for a manufacturer in an American industry DOMINATED by Canada because of Tariffs.

Dive into the critical issues shaping economic policy, from President-elect Trump’s sweeping tariff proposals to the challenges Texas faces under rising government spending. Now is the time for bold reforms to protect taxpayers and ensure economic freedom thrives.

If other countries are charging us tariffs, then it is only fair we charge them the same exact amount. China has to be a reason why Trump went higher.

Tarriffs are revenue and should replace federal income taxes

Basically what Ron Paul is saying is we should make ourselves subservient to China by relying on them for everything we buy

Mr Paul, I have to disagree with you on this one. You have to think long term. Things should be equal and reciprocal for US companies and citizens to grow and thrive.

Why does EVERYONE including Ron Paul ignore that consumers buying goods, only cheaper due to temporary foreign subsidy, is bad for US workers, who are ALSO consumers and who would be strengthened by shifting production of those goods to the US?

I will gladly pay that tax if in the long run it brings back American manufacturing

Tariffs and sales tax are way more ethical than an income tax

Reciprocal tariffs makes sense though
