Tariffs aren’t protectionism — they’re self-respect. When your industries are gutted and your people jobless, it’s time to fight back. Trump defends American workers with tariffs. Britain opens its doors and wonders why our industry dies. The globalists got rich. The rest of us got left behind.

I fully agree with this. Our industrial base has been totally and utterly destroyed by globalism. We have been transformed from a nation of engineers and manufacturers into a nation of service workers, importers, and retailers, hollowed out by global free trade that shipped our industries overseas for cheap Labour, lower standards and short term profits, at the expense of what Britain and the British did best, but cannot any more. Because we now have no skills, no industry and no future. It’s pathetic.

Tariffs aren’t a tactic, they’re a declaration, we will not be slaves in our own land. While our factories were gutted, our towns hollowed, our pride sold to the lowest bidder, the globalist elite cashed in. Trump stood up and said what too many cowards wouldn’t, protect your people or perish. Britain chose open borders and open wallets and now we stand open handed, begging for scraps. Enough. We rebuild or we die a nation of shopkeepers with no shops. It’s time to close the gates, fire up the forges, and fight like hell for what’s ours. Sovereignty isn’t polite. It’s earned in steel and fire.

Specific tariffs perhaps on industries or products that are important for national interest and security would be effective. However, blanket tariffs across the board would be unnecessary and actually fairly illogical. Use the Commonwealth, use CANZUK relations.

People wonder why their towns and cities no longer have the wealth they once had, it is because the big industrial companies either closed down or moved operations abroad. We can probably never get back to how it was but we should at least try…managed decline is defeatism.

I see the opposite, I can see more people losing their jobs around the world with America being hit the worst. I don't see what Ben sees 🤔
