It’s no wonder Rachael Maskell is gunning for Shabana Mahmood - the Home Secretary actually trying to enforce stricter immigration laws and restore control. Back in September 2015, just after David Cameron announced the UK would take 20,000 Syrian refugees, Maskell told a “Refugees Welcome” rally in York: “We need to shout so much more and say 20,000 is not enough, 30,000 is not enough. We will keep going until we hit our saturation point because what does it matter if we have to wait another week for a hospital visit? Or if our class sizes are slightly bigger? Or if our city is slightly fuller? What does it matter if things are slightly more challenging? If we have to pay a little bit more into the system? Surely it is worth it to see those lives being restored again.” Absolutely insane. Maskell wants unlimited migration until Britain is overwhelmed, no matter the consequences or public opinion. It’s hard to believe this speech is actually real. Keep in mind she’s a key Burnham ally - one of the first to back him for PM and actively campaigned for him. Not exactly a reassuring sign for what’s in store with the incoming PM.

In May 2025 I went on a show and said "you cannot be bullish enough on gold." Gold was $3,300. Today it's knocking on $5,000. That's 50% in nine months. The gold miners ETF finished 2025 up 155%. Junior miners up 178%. But I'm not here to gloat. I'm here to tell you the thesis hasn't changed. Not one bit. People keep asking me: "George, when are you turning bearish on gold?" I'll turn bearish on gold when I can turn bullish on the value of money. I'll turn bearish on gold when governments start running sensible monetary policy. I'll turn bearish on gold when the US budget deficit isn't running at nearly 7% of GDP. Show me any of those things happening right now. YOU CAN'T The price of gold isn't going up. The value of money is going down. Gold is just the mirror. And here's what still gets me excited: Gold miners are realizing prices near $5,000 an ounce with all-in sustaining costs around $1,600. That's $3,000+ per ounce in margin. The earnings surprises coming out of the next few quarters are going to be massive. Major gold stocks are trading at 10x earnings. Meanwhile, American retail investors still haven't shown up. ETF holdings are lower than they were years ago. This entire rally has been driven by central banks and institutions. When US retail finally arrives, that's when it gets really interesting. If you look at gold relative to inflation, money supply, or GDP, numbers like $6,000, $8,000, even $10,000 aren't fantasy. You don't need to believe in a Banana Republic scenario to own gold miners. You just need to believe the fiscal trajectory of every major government is unsustainable.

Sunday Robotics Memo: "Pick Up Anything" test. This is insanely impressive. Two thoughts: currently, it probably makes more sense to put robots on wheels (like in this clip) to allow for greater stability (I know: climbing stairs will be a problem). But it's much better in a ground-level production hall. Secondly: it's amazing to see how advanced robots will be by 2025. Their capabilities have exploded in just one year. 2026 will be the year of robotics.

Our Most Hon'ble PM told us to save petrol & diesel by using public transport & use car pooling. Hon'ble PM also told us one year don't holiday abroad & don't buy gold. We will all stand by our PM, this war is not his fault but let him promise us, 1) BJP ministers won't travel in huge convoys with entourage! The union & state Babus will use public transport. 2) We won't purchase gold, but gold is used as a medium to hide black money by politicians, babus & judges so Hon'ble PM will go after that! 3) We wont go abroad, but nepo kids of Netas & babus who study abroad must be asked to come back & study in India & lastly 4) No more freebies like Ladli Behn & free LPG.
