🚨 PARKER SOLAR PROBE JUST FOUND HIGH-ENERGY PARTICLES NEAR THE SUN THAT NO MODEL PREDICTED AND WE DON’T KNOW HOW THEY GOT SO ENERGETIC. During its close passes through the solar corona, NASA’s Parker Solar Probe detected protons accelerated to energies around 400 keV roughly 1,000 times higher than current models of magnetic reconnection at the heliospheric current sheet could explain. The particles appear to be trapped and energized inside magnetic islands that form and merge during reconnection events at the current sheet (the vast surface where the Sun’s magnetic field flips polarity). This mechanism was not expected to produce such high energies so close to the Sun. Why this matters: • It reveals a previously unknown or underestimated source of energetic particles right in the solar corona • Existing models of solar energetic particles have focused mainly on shocks from coronal mass ejections — this suggests reconnection can also be a powerful accelerator • The same process may be contributing more to coronal heating than previously calculated • It has implications for space weather forecasting, since these particles can affect spacecraft and astronauts The deeper implication: Parker is showing us that the physics of the near-Sun environment is more energetic and complex than our models assumed. Magnetic reconnection long known as an important process appears capable of accelerating particles to surprisingly high energies through the merging of magnetic islands. This doesn’t just tweak our understanding of the Sun; it may force revisions in how we model particle acceleration across many astrophysical environments. We’re still in the early stages of understanding what Parker is revealing, but it’s already clear that the corona is more violent and dynamic than we thought. How do you think this discovery might change our models of space weather or solar physics in the coming years? Follow for more updates from Parker Solar Probe and the evolving picture of our Sun.

❗️❗️🇺🇦🇷🇺 SBU strikes Russia’s Vtorovo oil pumping station for the second time in a month, targeting key fuel supply lines to Moscow during Zelensky’s 40-day operation. The SBU struck the oil product pumping station “Vtorovo”, which supplies Moscow with fuel, for the second time in a month. Within the framework of the 40-day influence operation set by President Zelensky, during the implementation of the set tasks, fighters of the SBU’s special unit Alpha carried out successful strikes on the linear-production-dispatch station “Vtorovo” located in Russia’s Vladimir region. Through this station, diesel fuel is pumped into the Moscow ring oil product pipeline, from where it is distributed to large oil depots in the Moscow region. In addition, the station also ensures the export of petroleum products through the ports of the Baltic Sea. According to preliminary information, the SBU’s unmanned aerial vehicles struck the technical buildings of the facility, after which an explosion occurred. Previously, the SBU also carried out a drone attack on “Vtorovo” on June 10 of this year. The SBU states that it will continue special operations in the future against strategic facilities of Russia that ensure the functioning of the country’s military economy. The agency states that Russia must feel the consequences of aggression not only on the battlefield, but also on its own budget, logistics, and export revenues. According to their assessment, every damaged facility reduces the resources needed for waging war and increases the price for the Kremlin to continue aggression. Video is generated by grok AI

Maoist Weapons Manufacturing Facility Destroyed; Buried Maoist Materials Destroyed by Gadchiroli Police and CRPF in Maharshtra During an operation based on confidential intelligence, security personnel destroyed various Maoist materials at the site. Maoist insurgency in Gadchiroli district has now been effectively eliminated, and the Maoist movement in the district has almost completely come to an end. In the past, Maoists used various types of weapons and explosive materials to target security forces and carry out acts of sabotage. Taking advantage of the remote forested areas along the interstate border, they manufactured these materials and secretly buried them underground in the forests. These caches were later used during events such as Maoist observance weeks, elections, and other occasions to launch attacks on security forces. Following successful operations conducted on 23 May and 27 May 2026, Gadchiroli Police and the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) once again carried out an effective operation on 27 June 2026, successfully recovering materials that Maoists had buried in the forest. According to the detailed report, Gadchiroli Police received confidential intelligence indicating that Maoists had established a weapons manufacturing site and hidden related materials in the Balbeda forest area along the Maharashtra–Chhattisgarh border. Acting on this information, on 26 June 2026, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police M. Ramesh, six joint teams from the Gadchiroli and Pranhita Special Operations Units, one Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team, and a CRPF team were deployed to conduct a search operation in the forest. On 27 June 2026, after surrounding the area, the BDDS personnel carried out an intensive search. The operation led to the recovery of the following Maoist materials: One lathe machine weighing approximately 5–6 tonnes 150 Claymore and BGL (Barrel Grenade Launcher) pipes 220 12-bore gun barrels/pipes 20 rifle rods and metal strips Other Maoist-related materials Under the directions of senior officers, all the recovered Maoist materials were destroyed on the spot with the assistance of the personnel involved in the operation. The operation was conducted under the orders and guidance of Superintendent of Police M. Ramesh, and under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Karthik Madhira, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Gokul Raj G., and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Operations) Vishal Nagargoje. Personnel from the Gadchiroli and Pranhita Special Operations Units, the Intelligence Cell, the BDDS, and the CRPF successfully carried out the mission. Superintendent of Police M. Ramesh commended all the personnel who participated in the operation for their successful efforts.
