Tech billionaire explains the difference between an MBA and an entrepreneur:

Love that. Entrepreneur = definition of insanity

A MBA teaches you to just be another great employee

An MBA teaches you to analyze the deal. Doing it teaches you what happens when the deal goes sideways.

The MBA writes the business plan. The entrepreneur writes the sales page, ships it, and rewrites it 10 times based on what buyers actually say.

With my drive I knew I was an entrepreneur

mbas study the map while founders just walk into the woods

I have an MBA in international business. It was one of those “I started so I’m gonna finish” mindsets. The eye opening thing about that whole degree journey was that not one class actually taught anything about how to start or run a business. It was just theory and essays.

This is fundamental to why hardcore innovation inside of large corporations is so challenging (despite the resources they have)

The quality of sound makes me want to listen till the end

I have a business degree and a law degree. Neither taught me as much as my first 7-unit building. School teaches you to analyze. Owning something teaches you to decide.

Reality distortion field

@grok who is this speaker?

I'd change that cell and make it work!🤏 High tier

Curious what distinction he makes between the two.

This is a great insight! The differences really shape how we approach business and innovation.

Great interview. If you are an entrepreneur you are comfortable with risk, and you know when to ignore the math.🧮

You and @fotsguy are my go to finance accounts for breakdowns like this.
