So the “technician” shorted out all the terminals. Let’s see what happens when the system is turned on.

The rca connector shield is a ground sleeve and is already grounded internally in the device. Bonding the shields and shunting them to ground sooner was useful in high RF/EMI environments. They could act like antennas.

Well, the outer jack is ground, so maybe it will help reduce signal noise giving a better ground, but the connections inside should already be good enough.

Well the outer part of the rca jack is already electrically grounded to the chassis so that it completely useless.

Great idea!, one can never have enough ground! Another trick is to try turn the wall plug 180 degrees in case of "Humming"

That was truly painful to watch. Now install it into the car and turn the stereo on, I want to see the outcome. Morbid curiosity.

The outer shell of each of those connectors is already connected together to the chassis ground where that screw is. There’s no reason to wrap the wires like that. It will do nothing electronically except maybe create an antenna.

These third world “solutions” videos are a menace to this site. Any time I see grimy brown hands doing something half-assed, I block.
