Rad Techs really don't want to get exposed to the ionizing radiation of X-rays, as their line of work requires them to be exposed to it constantly; even if they're exposed a little each session, it increases the probability of cancer and other complications.

0:59 excuse me sir?

Something very similar happened to me in an old Romanian hospital when I broke my wrist. Massive octagon room. Soviet era tech. Everyone fled into an observation room. The concerned look on their faces startled me, like they were taking pity on me for what they were about to do.

This video is 100x funnier if it was 80sec shorter

You need to die more often ts was hysterical 😭

That one woman during the Therac-25 accident:

Imagine you're a bartender. Now imagine if ever time a customer ordered a drink, you had to take a sip of their drink. EVERY customer. EVERY time. You'd be on the floor in 4 hours. Xray techs would be getting dozens of doses of radiation daily for years. It adds up.

Damn

In all seriousness : getting blasted once is fine. But they'd have to be exposed tens of times a day, maybe more. And that would be dangerous to them

if you remove 1 drop of blood from you, you'll be fine. if you remove thousands though, you'll die. the same concept applies to x-ray radiation
