Today marks 21 straight days of our family’s West Coast road trip in the Cybertruck. So far we’ve driven 3,493 miles, and every mile has reminded me why I believe this is THE greatest road-trip vehicle ever built. Tesla FSD has handled all the driving, which means I get to spend more time playing & talking with my family, enjoying the scenery, and arriving at each destination feeling far less worn out than I ever did on road trips in the past in a non-Tesla. The Cybertruck has been an absolute beast. It’s comfortable, incredibly capable, has more than enough room for everything we’ve packed, and has taken us through cities, highways, mountains, and national parks without missing a beat. After 21 straight days on the road, it’s needed zero maintenance, just charging and going, like a phone. The combination of the Cybertruck, Tesla’s Supercharger network, and FSD completely changes what a road trip feels like. After 3,493 miles and 21 consecutive days behind the wheel, I can honestly say I’ve never experienced anything like it. A Tesla truly makes road trips multiple times more enjoyable… I can’t ever imagine driving anything else.

Another example of Tesla Self driving better than humans. I’m following this Legacy SUV in my Cybertruck on FSD 14.2.2.1 and we feel the brakes and are like what’s going on. Then see a deer ahead in front of SUV run past road. Deer makes it across but what is funny but not funny the SUV doesn’t even tap brakes. Don’t even look liked they slowed down. You can see us slowing down behind SUV after deer crosses. This is all done by FSD. I did nothing. People often ask me if I trust FSD. I always say yes. More than humans for sure. This is one more example of seeing road conditions before humans. Bravo Tesla

With how amazing Tesla FSD has become, I’m at the point now where I actually prefer to drive rather than fly in most cases. FSD allows you to travel cover an incredible amount of distance without any major fatigue since the car handles 100% of the driving, charging, and parking. It also makes the trips so much more fun and rewarding. People always ask, don’t you get bored? My answer is actually no, we get to explore so many new places along the way, take in the scenery more, and it’s just overall a more pleasant experience than manually driving and stressing about which exit to take etc. FSD handles all of that for you. If you have a Tesla, or are planning to get one, I highly suggest taking it on a road trip somewhere. It’ll be the best roadtrip you’ve ever taken.

With a single press of a button, it can drive you from point A to point B smoother than a human, all while being 9x safer. For some people, driving can be challenging due to anxiety or other issues. FSD cures that. It gives freedom back to people of all ages, most importantly the elderly. Autonomy is here, and it’s only getting better. When you buy a Tesla, you are buying a Personal Robotaxi. You won’t be able to live without it once you experience it on a daily basis.

FSD 12.5 runs a red light I want to share this to have a healthy discussion regarding this situation. This isn't in anyway an attempt to hate on FSD 12.5, I still believe this is the best release of FSD so far. Yesterday on my drive FSD for the first time ever (for me) decided to proceed on a VERY stale (red?) light. I was a bit surprised about its decision to do this, and I am wondering if perhaps the traffic light being set back (before the intersection starts there's a light on my left) has anything to do with this? Technically the car passes the light/stop line as it is still yellow. As a human driver I may have proceeded on this light if I was in a rush, but I am not sure if a robotaxi should make that same decision. I have chosen to drive my Tesla on FSD multiple times instead of flying. In the past year, I’ve done multiple ~20-hour days driving continuously on FSD, covering over 1,000 miles daily without ever needing to touch the steering wheel. We just took a trip from Toronto to Nashville as well. It was 900 miles one way, which we completed in a single day (18 hours), and it was way more economical (and fun) than flying. Before that, I did Toronto to Austin, TX (3,200 miles round trip) TWICE in July and November — all in my Model 3 Performance. Would I attempt these drives without FSD? No way. I literally push a button on the screen, and the car handles all the charging stops, traffic, navigation, and everything. It’s so easy. If you’re an avid road tripper, there’s no better car to do it in than a Tesla.

Last night I drove on Jinja road & I must say it’s by the grace of God that you reach your destination when you drive on this road - especially at night! Besides maneuvering an unmarked road amidst potholes, you have to be ware of broken down trucks stuck on the road with no warning signs. As if that’s not enough, the road is full of slow moving sugarcane trucks - most with no tail lights & you barely see them in time, unless you are driving in full beam. And then there’s the high speeding, ever impatient taxi drivers always overtaking in dangerous spots, risking the lives of their passengers, and other road users, Lord! If you survive all that, you’re likely to crash straight into one of those Uganda Police Force road blocks that appear without warning. Kwegamba, that road is a ticking time bomb. Tesla AI just gained a permanent FSD subscriber. Via Tesla FSD Reddit: “I am not a regular subscriber, but I was getting over COVID. With the foggy brain I subscribed to FSD just for the month to help me get around while recovering. I am fully recovered but get to enjoy the rest of the month of FSD. Car updated from 13.2.9 yesterday to 14.2. Today on my way home this happened! I couldn't figure out why it was slamming on the brakes until a mere second before the deer jumped out. I am so thankful. It doesn't replace human intervention but all the extra 'eyes' help. Car updated from 13.2.9 yesterday to 14.2. Today on my way home this happened! I couldn't figure out why it was slamming on the brakes until a mere second before the deer jumped out. I am so thankful. It doesn't replace human intervention but all the extra 'eyes' help.
