A motorcycle was lane splitting the other day at high speed and weaved too far into my lane from behind. I never saw him coming and the care moved over to the right very quickly to avoid being side swiped. FSD is amazing.

Similar thing happened to me and my Tesla moved out of the way and avoided getting hit!! These cars are the best!!

They said FSD couldn’t avoid it because the Tesla was boxed in by vehicles in front and behind.

still amazes me that people believe they can take their attention off the road during heavy traffic hours and be safe. unless you have FSD :)

FSD kept full 360-degree awareness the whole time. My car started moving into the right lane, then quickly slipped back to the left a second later because a car was flying up fast from behind in the right lane. As soon as that speedy car passed on the right, FSD moved back over. Basically, it knew the approaching car was going way too fast and got out of the way. I was confused by the move at first, then realized why when that car blew past in what should’ve been the slower lane.

Since the footage was recorded by the Tesla’s Sentry Mode, you obviously wouldn’t see the Tesla itself.

My Model Y saw an erratic car about to cut someone off in the lane to my right and moved us over safely over two lanes to the left before I even processed what what was happening, much less would have been able to check if my left lanes were clear. Amazing

Why say "reportedly" when you have proof with a clip showing real-time stats that the vehicle is in Full Self-Drive mode? Is it because we're not sure if it avoided any damage? A clean statement from the driver and some after pictures of the vehicle to confirm no damage occurred would be cool, but the video looks good. 👍 Even without a statement, it is 100% clear that he could have been in a bad crash without the software/hardware.

I was on a busy highway in a Tesla on FSD when it suddenly swerved to the next lane and accelerated. There was a pickup truck that was in the blind spot and the driver was texting. He had swerved into my lane and the Tesla detected that and got out of the way. If a human had been driving there would have been a nasty wreck. I went out and purchased my own Tesla that afternoon.

The more miles I have with FSD (15,000+ at this point) the more I realize that when the Tesla does something unexpected instead of trying to takeover driving, pause for a moment, and figure out what FSD just saved me from.
