You’ll be able to take a nap when you feel tired, or get some work done during a time that usually would be taking up by you manually having to drive. Autonomy will change what it means to own a vehicle. Why wouldn’t you want your own personal robot chauffeur?

Another 1st time experience with Tesla Robotaxi, this time with Alvaro who came in with his friend dom from Salt Lake City, Utah to give it a try! Alvaro is not very familiar with Tesla or autonomous driving, so he tried out all of the various ride hailing options here in Austin to get a good baseline for comparison. He tried a human-driven Uber, a few Waymo autonomous drives & the Tesla_AI autonomously driven Tesla Robotaxi & he has some very interesting and insightful observations! At the end of the day what did he conclude? Check it out!

Here is my experience (in 4K) from earlier today in one of the world's first ever public Tesla Robotaxi rides in Austin, Texas with FSD Unsupervised! No-one is in the driver seat and the safety monitor in the passenger seat does not have a steering or pedals. It was awesome.

It lowered the cabin volume while it stopped for first cop and then continued waiting for second cop car 4. Slowly turned the music up back to original volume. Incredible!! First time Tesla Robotaxi rides for Wendy who flew in from Seattle to try it out & possibly move permanently to Austin! She was worried about being nervous in the Robotaxi but after 3 rides felt it was so good it was boring in a great way! She also thinks this service in general, and Tesla AI FSD specifically could be a huge help to people like her mother. Check it out!
