A suspect driving a stolen truck went on the rampage this afternoon, apparently after a disagreement with his employer. The Malawian man – a truck driver – rammed into several cars and a pedestrian during his wild ride. Police officers, including Umlazi K9 members, gave chase but the trucker also smashed into another police car. According to the SAPS, members fired at the vehicle to neutralise the threat, and the suspect was subsequently struck and wounded. The heavy vehicle eventually came to rest on Underwood Road in Pinetown. AlsParamedics says, “Paramedics arrived on the scene to find SAPS had closed off the entire roadway. Paramedics found multiple vehicles damaged some with bullet holes and others after the crash. The scene was over a short distance and Paramedics assessed the scene. A truck that was allegedly driven by a suspect had collided head on into a SAPS vehicle whilst being chased by other SAPS members. The truck was found badly damaged as a result of the crash as well as bullet holes. The driver had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being transported to hospital under police guard. The men are, on average, quicker, stronger and more powerful - which changes the pace, intensity and physicality of the game. Saying that doesn’t diminish women’s football. It’s simply acknowledging reality. Men’s and women’s football are different - because men and women are different. According to those at the scene, the drone was shot down directly overhead by air defenses. Based on what is visible from this angle, the wreckage bears a resemblance to a Russian Orion strike UAV, although the available footage is not ideal. But most likely, it was one of the Russian Orion drones based at the Kerch airfield that was either brought down by Russia's paranoid air defenses or decided to self-destruct, which, in the case of the Orion, is not uncommon, as these drones have a well documented tendency to crash during landing.

Taqqadum’s entire political calculation has been to support the RSF politically in the hope that that they can return to Gov on the militia’s coattails. This isn’t a theory it’s already happened with half of Taqqadum having already split off to formally join the RSF’s so called Tasis Gov. According to the WMO’s monthly Global Seasonal Climate Update, El Niño is expected to continue strengthening and develop into a strong event during August–October 2026. A positive Indian Ocean Dipole is also forecast. During this phase, the western tropical Indian Ocean is warmer than average, while the eastern part is cooler than average.
