Testing Tesla #FSDEurope with Kees Roelandschap in Amsterdam. Driving through this chaotic little street, with cyclists and pedestrians behaving erratically. And FSD just takes it as a champ. Human would be nervous, FSD just say "nah, I got this"! It sees everything around itself and reacts very safely to...

@Tslachan @Tesla @KRoelandschap This is actually easy for Tesla FSD, and hard for humans. The Tesla reacts quicker and tracks all moving objects simultaneously so in a chaotic environment like this, it can weave its way through safely and as quickly as the traffic allows. And do it better than a human can.

@Tesla @KRoelandschap And it will never be any worse than this 😊.

@Tesla @KRoelandschap Well, we do know that regression is a thing. 😉 But over time it will get better indeed.

@Tesla @KRoelandschap Very hard to stay calm with the female bicyclist blocking the road, taking all the time she needs, and making a U-turn in the end with no sign of an apology at all.

@Tesla @KRoelandschap It will be so obvious in max a year that FSD is the only viable solution for autonomy. Cheaper, safer and smarter.

@Tesla @KRoelandschap If someone from other country goes to the Netherlands will FSD be available for his car?

@Tesla @KRoelandschap Not yet, slow and gradual rollout

@adrilasar @Tesla @KRoelandschap He is asking about in theory, does the regulation allow , for example a car driving from German , can the car activate ( by subscribing to FSD monthly in the Netherlands ) ? not asking about scheduling of rollout

Steven Peeters's profile picture

@adrilasar @Tesla @KRoelandschap Again, theoretically any car capable of this FSD version could enable it in NL. Whether or not Tesla will roll it out as such, nobody knows at this point. Hence the “not yet” answer. Ghere is no guarantee until we actually see it

@Tesla @KRoelandschap Before long, cyclists won’t bother reacting to Teslas at all. They’ll just assume the car will stop…

@Tesla @KRoelandschap Oblivious? Nah. Seems an inherent disrespect for road users. Makes for great FSD clips but... not nice. What gives? Why is it so?

@Tesla @KRoelandschap Awesome. 🤩 I’m most impressed when FSD navigates a busy Costco parking lot with people and shopping carts everywhere.
