Joby Aviation is flying its eVTOL in Texas today … Joby just posted this: “The state of Texas officially kicks off its first White House-backed eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP) flights today” Joby is “carrying out a week-long flight campaign across the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The Joby eVTOL aircraft will fly real-world routes across North Texas, including direct flights into Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and major urban hubs.” Joby is the only eVTOL actually flying at the event today. Congrats to our partners at Joby Aviation on another milestone

The world’s largest electric aircraft took to the skies for the first time — the flight cost just $5 US company Heart Aerospace has flown its full-scale electric aircraft X1 for the first time — the largest all-electric aircraft ever to take flight. The test flight lasted 27 minutes, with the aircraft reaching an altitude of 335 meters. The electricity used for the entire flight cost around $5. The X1 was built to test technologies for a future 30-seat hybrid-electric aircraft.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our first D-Check on one of our Boeing 787 Dreamliners, marking another important milestone for KQ Engineering & Maintenance. From detailed inspections to working through every part of the aircraft, the check brought together the knowledge, skill and teamwork of our engineering teams to get the aircraft ready to return to the skies. Beyond the aircraft itself, this achievement is about what our people can do. It reflects the growing expertise we continue to build in-house and our investment in developing world-class MRO capabilities in Africa, bringing us another step closer to becoming the MRO of Choice in Africa and Beyond. #ThePrideOfAfrica #KQEngineering
