Their position coaches are focused on coaching, while the personnel department handles most of the recruiting and evaluations. I honestly don't know what women gain by doing this. In all their stories, they're always the vict!m. Imagine the ex husband coming online and seeing his ex-wife saying all this about him. There are a lot of good women and good marriages out there but the bad ones are just everywhere, spoiling it for the good ones.

You would be surprised how many times I’ve had this conversation 🤦🏻‍♂️ Not all AAU programs are equal. There are some good ones out there for sure. I benefited as a player by playing for a club. But then… There are some bad ones. And with the bad ones comes a lot of wasted time, money and effort. Empty promises when it comes to development and exposure to college coaches. Some kids on these teams can’t make 10 free throws in a row or dribble with their weak hand but we have them playing 80 games a summer expecting it to magically improve. Then they go back to their HS Coaches as the same player they were the year before but expecting different results. Now kids should make more time for their own skill work as well but some of these programs require 4-8 hours a week at their “practices” plus travel and games every weekend…. Have you seen some of these AAU practices? Skill development is non existent in a lot of these. But isn’t the point to make the kids better? Just get better every summer and have a great high school season then worry about getting recruited. Some of these kids are on their JV teams expecting to get scholarship offers 🤦🏻‍♂️ There are bad trainers and bad coaches out there as well. I understand that. This is just my perspective and experience with the kids that have been in the gym with me over the last 7 years.

Max Levchin explains why B-players hire C-players The co-founder of PayPal and Affirm reflects on the famous Steve Jobs insight that A-players hire A-players, and B-players hire C-players: “It’s profoundly true. But there should be an asterisk explaining why this is true. And the reason for this is fear.” A-players love working with other A-players because they know it will make them better. They want other A-players who challenge them and will tell them when their work isn’t good. Most B-players are net positive too, but as Max argues, some are fearful and will say: “If I have too many B-players or A-players around, I will look terrible and it’ll be very obvious that I’m just not that good. So the way to fix this is for me to become a manager and hire a bunch of people who aren’t very good at all so that I’ll look like the tallest mushroom.” Max continues: “That is the real danger of B-players. Having people who are perfectly willing to do good work day-in and day-out is not the worst thing in the world. There’s plenty of things that A-players will turn their nose from because it’s just not that challenging. B-players are very good for that [type of work].
