I grew up without a father in the early 1950's. Very unusual. I only met him 3 times, other than the first 2 years he was there, that I do not consciously remember. The toll it takes is real. What I would have given to be daddy's little girl.

My husband works out of state but my baby smiles during video calls and when he’s home she’s a daddy’s girl. It’s a blessing that she has the loving father I didnt growing up.

And this little girl will grow up having more confidence, more self-worth, more ability to navigate male and female relationships, and have an understanding of roles of individual family members. She will emotionally and psychologically be better off than the peer without a dad
