Thank you David Pocock for pushing back against Dutton’s lies & attacks on the PS. It does not save money to sack public servants. It just redirects the $$ to private corporations with kickbacks to Dutton. It costs more & service standards drop precipitously.

@DavidPocock The private sector not only ruins the lives of people needing them, but ruin the lives of those they employ The employment services sector Is as useless to employers as it is to the unemployed It’s a terrible waste of public monies with no accountability

@DavidPocock Nothing. Absolutely NOTHING has ever been improved via privatisation unless you happen to be one of the private corporations that then receive contracts from the LNP to do the work done by PS at ½ the cost and 2X effectiveness.

@DavidPocock Sacking public servants saves a fair bit of money. It's really not hard and should be imposed to the maximum extent.

@DavidPocock How does it save money when private consultants are then employed to do the very same tasks, at greater cost? You may not like the reality of the situation but the data are there and it’s not possible to spin them the way you want. Facts are facts.

@DavidPocock I've been wondering how much the consulting cost Vs the public service but it was very hard to get any information (I wonder why)

@DavidPocock The data are out there. But it is way more for the consultants.

@TrevorMoorfield @DavidPocock Absolutely but contractor payments can be recorded in various ways whereas public service wages are recorded as wages. It’s a typical LNP look what this hand is doing , don’t worry about the other one.
