"Can't do it solo" How is that even a legit point anyone tries to make? Being able to near fully lock someone down like that with 0dmg shouldn't be a thing solo or more, period. No one wants to watch 30+seconds of your teammate being unable to play while you wait spectating.

Exactly, which is equally if not more frustrating. Nobody likes to lose control of their character for a good 30 seconds.

I feel like they need to find some way to give the shields like a cool down on the ability to knock defenders over, like a 4 second buffer or something so that this can’t happen, at least gives defenders a fighting chance in the event the shield fucks up big time

I think some people are finding it difficult to understand that you aren't talking about game balance here, but game health and general game design concepts.
