That there is no plan to include rapid transit in this new build is shortsighted. Using Hwy 1 expansion as a distraction from a TransLink BC starved South Delta is beyond frustrating. There should be skytrain to both BC Ferries and US boarder.

@TransLink @BCFerries I agree with the Potential transit to BC ferries, but we don’t need transit to the US border. “Border” However, currently, I think there are buses that go from the existing skytrain transit system straight to the BC ferries .

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. But the tax base doesn’t support it. I’m not against it. I think an even better transit system would be a win for everyone. 😊👍 What I’m saying is when it comes to making fiscal decisions, the taxpayer base in that area does not make it a viable option at this time .

@TransLink @BCFerries 100% agree on the sky train extension to bc ferries. Esp if trains on Victoria to vancouver sides, the trip would take about 2-2.5 hours as opposed to the current 4-5 hours, the boost to the economy would be massive, and would improve lives. High speed rail to border makes sense
