That was #SpaceX explosion number .. 38 While pressure testing the oxygen tank. But don't worry It's 'only' ~3700 tons of liquid oxygen (125 large trucks) in one SpaceX missile. If there hád been oxygen in it nobody would've noticed anything Ever again. In a mile radius

This is one of the worst takes I have seen so far this week. There is effectively zero chance a Booster related anomaly taking place at Massey's would have any chance of producing a more serious outcome than S36. That incident represents the maximum damage possible for a testing incident at this facility. There is no reason to overhype things...and if you have no idea what you are talking about...all the more reason to say nothing at all.

You do realize this was a test with pressurized air? It is a test to determine failure points. Space X uses a development process called "test to failure". It's an expensive process but leads to quicker advancement. Before you bring up tax dollars, it is privately funded.

What is your purpose for spouting absolute nonsense? I get the Tesla FUDsters are trying to save their short investments or being paid by the competition, but Space X is privately owned.

lol lmao You’re doing the meme.

This is the most retarded post I’ve seen in a while. An oxygen tank fails in testing. Better evacuate a one mile radius? Bro the atmosphere is already ~21% oxygen.

38 (!) SpaceX explosions & fires “That’s our other rule” Musk continues “Safety third" "There’s not even a Rule Number 2. But even though there’s nothing in second place, safety is not getting promoted to number two” .. (Elon Musk, Nov. 15 2017)

There is nobody in a 1 mile raius. Exclusion zones are a thing.

It's not the tank, but COPV that failed. The issue has been adressed. This is why testing is done.

COPV plumbing failure, Retard Alert ⚠️ 📢

Only 38? Are you counting full vehicle explosions, or any sort of explosive anomaly? Because I feel like for the engine tests alone there would probably be dozens of explosions. I hope SpaceX makes another fail compilation for Starship. The F9 one was awesome.

Just gibberish

LOX is the oxidizer, not the fuel. Even if it wasn't just being tested with compressed air, LOX would not cause an explosion.

I just don't like you using NSF @NASASpaceflight footage without proper credits for a rage bite post like this

Dipshit, do you think they build rocket launch facilities in the middle of suburbs or something?

Tja, daar is hij weer. Het lijkt wel of je een beetje jaloers bent op die Elon Musk.
Lucky they test these things with inert nitrogen first, huh? Those people at SpaceX are pretty smart.

They're pushing the engineering of 10000 things to the limit simultaneously, and It popped, so what? Lessons learned, next booster incoming. . What's your angle? Transformative technology development hater?

oxygen does not explode.

Still obsessively hating on „anything Elon Musk does“? You must be retired by now and have too much time on your hands. The bankruptcy of your company Aarts dieseltechniek back in the days with Tesla rising and your VW world imploding has set you on a 10+ years crusade hating everything Elon Musk does, including literally hoping for disaster Give it a rest man Genoeg is genoeg

Did you know that you can say "I'm dumb" in so many less words

uhhh there was just gas in the tank dude

They do these pressure tests before hand to reduce the risk of that happening, and their exclusion zone is way bigger than 1 mile, so it wouldn't kill anyone if it exploded on the pad anyway. The major risk is when it is in flight.

theres nothing within a mile radius of the test stand

Ton, je praat een hoop onzin.. je snapt er echt heel weinig van mijn god😂 Elon leeft rentevrij in je hoofd. We zijn meer Elon's nodig en minder Ton's, ouwe zeikerd

Testing. Pressure testing with inert gasses. That’s why they test. To avoid it happening when it matters.

Well that's why you don't let people hang out right next to these kinds of rockets during testing, man.

Nope it was nitrogen, get your facts straight.

You are just old and bitter, aren't you?

Tom since you know everything … Could you count for me how many times NASA had to fire a rocket before its payload got to orbit ? Pillock

Nonsense. SpaceX has already had a fully fuelled explosion, as have other rocket launch companies. And it only effected a 100m radius. RE

Best thing about you mate is how funny it is when you put an F on your last name

NASA had 50 in its first 11 years, 30 more during the Apollo 6 era and 25 during the Shuttle era.
