My two cents on this is that it isn't even just the upscaling, but the frame rate is especially bad here. It's not too noticeable with the cartoon segments, but it's very obvious with the intro. Here's what the intro looks like when running at a correct 60fps.

Coming very soon to a 3D Printer near you. The sheer simplicity of the ammo and the lack of professional tools is a part of the demonstration so don't get too hurt by this. This is a project we have been working on for a while known as the Deep ammo series. It is a 3D printed ammunition system that uses a printed hull, powder, a primer (whether printed or normal), and a projectile. As of now we have these cycling in revolvers, and both actions but getting something like this firing semi-automatic is difficult. Not impossible though, we are hard at work and I just know you'll be seeing more of these soon.
