That's why you should always light a flame before entering a cave

Or just never ever entering a cave works as well.

The CO2 sinks to the floor because it's denser than air, so you can literally be standing upright breathing fine while your legs are already surrounded by a pocket that would knock you unconscious the second you crouched down. The flame dies before you do. That's the whole point.

Avoiding any situation that will require entering a cave is the best solution in my opinion.

There are plenty of great places you can visit besides caves.

Instructions unclear, stuck in cave.

Costa Rica’s “Cave of Death”, officially known as Cueva de la Muerte, is a natural formation that poses a deadly threat to anyone entering due to extremely high carbon dioxide concentrations (CO₂).

I carry a canary with me at all times

Show of hands, who else was expecting an explosion?

Dude!!!! …I thought a bear was gonna run out !!!! Disappointing

Except if its the wrong gas, you dead.

Yea most of us don’t need to know this because we aren’t fucking entering caves.

why do i need to ever enter a cave ?

This is braindead behavior. We dont live in 1914. This is unreliable and could also be dangerous as flammable gasses can be trapped in the ground or low circulation environments like a cave. You should just use a "sniffer" or a confined space gas monitor. It is the same process as entering a confined space on a job site. If you are doing anything but that, you are risking your life. It is an electronic unit that montiors the air quality in real time. You use it to test the space before you enter, then you wear it on you the entire time. You also need an attendant monitoring you with an escape method like a winch to pull you out if you become unconscious. I am sure that cave diving doesnt have that kind of safety, though. There is a lot more to worry about than just the level of oxygen.

Good job it was CO2 and not methane.

White people are really courageous. They’ll literally see a sign that says “Into the Valley of Death” and you’ll see them gearing up to enter it. Whaaaaaat? Didn’t you just read the sign? 😭😭😭

They say curiosity killed the cat. Here, it just killed the flame first a polite cosmic heads-up before it gets to you. Next time you’re tempted to explore the unknown, remember: even fire knows when to quit.

Or maybe not enter the dark cave.

and if it's methane? boom lmao.

What's in the cave? @grok

Uhh...you really didn't show the why. But keep swingin slugger.

Why enter a cave in the first place

The flame went out because the cave is full of CO2 so there's no oxygen. The flame was fine when he held it high because C02 is heavier than air and settles at the bottom.

In everything that can be done on planet Earth, why will you decide that the next thing you should do is enter a cave. Just why?

As a CSP (Certified Safey Professional) spaces are one of the most dangerous places a human can enter. NEVER go into a confined space before testing. This is an example of an Oxygen deficient space. I bet everyone watching thought it would explode.

What about not entering caves

Or better yet just stay TF away from caves

Basically to test out the level of oxygen height in the cave. Since the torch went out near the ground that means theres no oxygen near ground so you should avoid crouching in that cave as much as possible.

Nature be giving warnings in 4K and humans still like “let me just check something real quick.”

@grok explain

You had me at "cave". No.

Trapped flammable gas, yikes.

White Guy 1 - "Hey guys! There's a good chance we'll die in here!" White Guy 2 - "F'in A! Let's go!"

Lost my puppy to a cave growing up. I called its poor soul for hours, but it never barked; not even its cute whin-whin cries. RIP lil Polo

Come, enter my cave of light.

What's the purpose of the dumb ass music in the background. What's wrong with the weirdos man and watch a video anymore with the original audio. Always have to add some dumb ass music
