The $200 Codex plan got nerfed pretty hard. Does it make any sense to keep using it?

Been on $200 codex and $0 Claude for the past ~8 months. Now have $100 Claude, probably upgrading to $200 and will probably either go down to $100 codex or not subscribe at all at the end of this month

I’m getting so many credits on my $200 plan, I almost can’t spend them fast enough

same sticker, less work. the plan only makes sense if Thursday still opens.

Are you paying for the model or for not having to change your habits?

paying 200 a month for AI is the new cable bill

On Cerebras? Pretty sure that ultrafast is on nvidia though?

I was hesitant to switch to Claude because I'm so used to the harness and felt like Claude Code wouldn't cut it. But I've been hearing and seeing good things about T3 Code and now feel a bit more comfortable making the jump to Claude since I can use it through T3 Code.

For most of us it's not the raw model - it's the toolchain on top. If Codex still edits across files and uses your tests as a guardrail, staying makes sense. The moment you're manually copying context back and forth, drop down or switch.

time to cancel and pretend we meant to touch grass anyway

Not when you've got Opus 5.5

depends how much of your week runs through it but i would test a month on the cheaper plan first

I still have $100 codex and $20 claude, probably flipping that next month

if the cuts mean paying for a second tool to finish the same work, I'd downgrade. that's a worse deal, not a reason to spend more.

nerfed how tho, lower limits or worse model on the same plan? if its just limits i'd still keep it for the long refactors

i understand.. and i am gonna stick to codex plan and use claude in devin gonna start watching more your videos man. you cooked

I was expecting worse tbh...

you can still build for sure

With all of thats bugs?

love you man but why all of your videos gotta be 20-30 minutes minimum 😭😭

4:15 🥺

For me, 6.1 will be providing me access to start hill climbing which I am very excited about

Me who's on the 100$ plan

I think heavy users split across two vendors within a month, and the admin who approved one seat ends up reconciling three invoices.

i think the test is whether you hit the cap in a normal week, if it only bites on the heavy days it's mostly vibes

depends what nerfed means for you. if its still unlimited-ish but slower, fine. if quota dropped and quality dropped together, thats when it stops making sense

no, unless they release an opus5.5 level model

well if you;ve enough money to waste then gg

keeping it purely on sunk cost, which is still the most reliable model i run
