🦅💰⛺️💩 : Auditor General Karen Hogan reports that $6.5 billion in First Nation grants were handed out by the Federal government without oversight or accountability for how the money was spent. Former Liberal MP Randy Boissonnault & PPC candidate David Yeo both came under fire for running two person companies, as a type of shell company, to get FN specific contracts. These contracts would come with signing bonuses of upwards of 18% for the 2 person companies. David Yeo raked in $1.4 million on Arrivecan, as a signing bonus. In the case of Randy Boissonnault, there was not even a FN co-owner for his two man company. Instead his business partner claimed there was another Randy. FN communities struggle with overcrowded homes & boil water advisories while tens of billions in funding evaporates. Something stinks & it's not just the sewage in the tap water. The Federal government ensured there wouldn't be accountability over how this money is spent. FN grants are being used to launder taxpayer $$$ to government insiders. This is something all opposition parties complained about, but never bothered to pass a Bill to criminalize it, when they were in a position to do so.

The biggest injustice in Canada: The corrupt Liberal industrial complex that takes your taxpayer funds, And allocates it to lawyers, consultants & fake Indigenous businesses rather than helping First Nations people themselves. If you didn’t know, it was the Conservatives that formally apologized for residential schools. Liberals, on the other hand, while Chrétien was the Minister of Indigenous Affairs, knew there was a problem. He could have taken action & didn’t. The Conservatives, under Harper & while Poilievre was a part of the administration, went on to implement the First Nations Financial Transparency Act. The Liberals, under Trudeau, stopped enforcing it. Carney still won’t enforce it. Fast forward to today, nearly 40% of First Nations Bands are non-compliant with reporting. Please note: These are the Chiefs & those in charge, and not the individual First Nations themselves. It got so bad that an individual of a First Nations band, had to sue in order to get the financial information that should’ve been provided by the transparency act in the first place. And now, it turns out that from 2020 to 2025, nearly 2000 businesses were removed from the indigenous directory that allows them to have access to federal contracts. These businesses were awarded nearly $300 million. As an example, did you know that in Alberta, the life expectancy of a First Nations individual is nearly 20 years less than a non-indigenous person. It’s similar across Canada: the life expectancy of First Nations is significantly lower than non-Indigenous people AND CONTINUES TO DECLINE. Some First Nations have never filed or submitted an audit, others haven’t in over a decade. Meanwhile, First Nations life expectancy plummeted. In BC: it dropped 7.1 years (2015-2021), in Alberta, it’s down 7 years since 2015; now 19-year gap vs non-Indigenous. The opioid crisis hit reserves hardest, reversing prior gains. We have tens of billions poured in, accountability paused and yet outcomes are worse. In addition to all of this spending, we are allowing major land claims, to which most of BC is subject to. ALL OF KAMLOOPS, is under a land claim. The courts allow for oral evidence to be submitted without any other proof. And oral evidence is equally weighted as physical evidence based on historical claims from ancestors. And despite millions spent looking for mass graves, not a single one has been found, but when this is raised, Chiefs call for the resignation of politicians. Canadians deserve truth, transparency and accountability. We also deserve to not lose title to our homes and this era of secrecy, land claims and countless tens of billions of tax dollars going to a particular race for land claims based on oral testimony because, ancestor’s used to hunt and fish there. It all needs to end. It’s not sustainable.

We built a tool to make it easy for Canadians to understand how First Nations are funded and how they spend that money. We scraped over 10,000 financial statements and schedules of remuneration that First Nations disclosed under the First Nations Financial Transparency Act. We then processed those documents to extract revenue, expenses, accumulated surplus (which includes both financial assets and physical assets like roads and water systems) and council remuneration into an easily processable format. We also scraped historical data going back to 2007 of First Nations registered population to make it easy to understand the scale of our First Nations. Lastly, we scraped First Nations legal Claim data from the Reporting Centre on Specific Claims. This is all accessible on our easy to use, fast website with source documents accessible directly from the page for easy verification.

Do not rely on international organisations like the United Nations or the European Community to make or to keep a peace with freedom and justice. There is no substitute for national leadership. Of course, it would be churlish not to give the UN credit for what it has achieved, particularly in Cambodia. Where, as in the Gulf, it has been given strong leadership, by one or more nation states, it has been effective. But we delude ourselves if we think that it will be capable of moving with the speed, the will and the determination needed to keep the peace without such a lead from nation states. The United Nations depends on consensus and that is simply not an adequate basis for action or for readiness to take combat risks (as we have seen in Bosnia). Act in concert, yes. But act by consensus and you may not act at all. Indeed, as I've so often said, consensus is the negation of leadership. If we attempt to rely solely on the United Nations, we shall soon learn that it is an institution where copious resolutions become a substitute for effective action.

🛢️⛔️🇨🇦🌊 : Before Justin Trudeau came to power, Enbridge spent $1 billion on a Northern Gateway pipeline proposal. 🛢️I put the proposed pipeline route from the Alberta oilsands to Kitimat, at the end of the video. 🦅Enbridge had an agreement with First Nation equity partners, who stood to gain $2 billion from the project. 🚫When Justin Trudeau came to power, the pipeline project was cancelled. 🤐This was done without consultation with First Nations or Enbridge, who lost bigtime on their investments. 💵So why would any private company want to waste vast sums of cash & time, only to be tossed out on a whim? 🏭Remember, we even had a proposal to build a refinery in Kitimat to help reduce the risks of a bitumen spill because we would be shipping very profitable refined products like jet fuel and gasoline. 💰The refinery proposal had loads of private investment ready to go. 👷It would have created thousands of excellent long term paying jobs for communities desperate for such lasting quality employment. That too was cancelled due to a complete lack of interest and even outright hostility from both the Federal & Provincial governments. We have lost tens of billions of dollars in economic growth for communities that desperately needed it.

POLL: Nearly half of First Nations voters in Alberta back independence A poll commissioned by @ActForAlberta found 46% of First Nations respondents said they'd vote to leave Canada in a referendum on independence. Sheila Gunn Reid shares details from a poll commissioned by Act For Alberta, which found 46% of First Nations respondents would support independence if a referendum were held on the matter. For months, we’ve been told Alberta independence is fringe. That Indigenous people oppose it. That claim is doing a lot of work right now, especially in court. And then this lands: Nearly half of indigenous voters support independence. Someone tell the activist chiefs — the narrative just blew apart. According to exclusive polling commissioned by Act For Alberta, and full disclosure, I’m the listed contact for that third-party advertiser, 46% of First Nations respondents say they would vote to leave Canada. Nearly half. That's higher than support in the general Alberta population, which sits at one in three. That alone should force a rethink. Now layer this on top: 301,000 signatures, collected by 7,000 volunteers. In a long, bitterly cold Alberta winter. And what happens next? They don’t get verified. Not counted. Not certified. They're stopped, wrapped in evidence tape like some crime scene because a judge has issued a stay blocking the validation process while a legal challenge from First Nations groups plays out. So, line this up. Nearly half of First Nations respondents are open to independence. But activist chiefs claiming to speak for all Indigenous Albertans want to protect the failing federalist status quo, not just for their people, but for all of us. Hundreds of thousands of Albertans signed a petition to at least ask the question. And the activist chiefs involved in the lawsuit are asking the court to freeze the process before it reaches a result. That’s the moment we’re in. A political question with massive public engagement, halted before it could be measured. There’s a gap here. Between what’s being argued in court by gatekeepers and what people are actually saying when you ask them directly. And it is not a small gap. Indigenous communities are not one voice. Albertans are not one voice. That is the whole point of a vote. Everyone gets their say on referendum day. So, here’s the question that does not go away: if the answer is so obvious, why not let the process finish? Why not count the signatures and drop the lawsuit? Why not let people speak? Because once it becomes one person, one vote, the outcome is not controlled anymore, and the narrative is shattered for good.

Nearly half. That's higher than support in the general Alberta population, which sits at one in three. That alone should force a rethink. Now layer this on top: 301,000 signatures, collected by 7,000 volunteers. In a long, bitterly cold Alberta winter. And what happens next? They don’t get verified. Not counted. Not certified. They're stopped, wrapped in evidence tape like some crime scene because a judge has issued a stay blocking the validation process while a legal challenge from First Nations groups plays out. So, line this up. Nearly half of First Nations respondents are open to independence. But activist chiefs claiming to speak for all Indigenous Albertans want to protect the failing federalist status quo, not just for their people, but for all of us. Hundreds of thousands of Albertans signed a petition to at least ask the question. And the activist chiefs involved in the lawsuit are asking the court to freeze the process before it reaches a result. That’s the moment we’re in. A political question with massive public engagement, halted before it could be measured. There’s a gap here. Between what’s being argued in court by gatekeepers and what people are actually saying when you ask them directly. And it is not a small gap. Indigenous communities are not one voice. Albertans are not one voice. That is the whole point of a vote. Everyone gets their say on referendum day. So, here’s the question that does not go away: if the answer is so obvious, why not let the process finish? Why not count the signatures and drop the lawsuit? Why not let people speak? Because once it becomes one person, one vote, the outcome is not controlled anymore, and the narrative is shattered for good.
