Lyme disease did not exist before 1978. There are now over 300 species of bacteria that cause it, all spirochetes, all variations of Borrelia, named after Dr. Willy Burgdorfer, the man who discovered it. Dr. Burgdorfer's job for the United States military was placing bacteria inside ticks to deploy against enemy forces. Goodmorning. This tick investigation is looking more and more wild. I wonder how many more wild animals are going to get slaughtered by hordes of ticks. Is this how they kill all wild red meat? Oregon is already making it illegal to own livestock as well as illegal to hunt and fish, maybe ticks is the next push in keeping people from eating red meat. Part because people are now infected with Lyme disease, part that the animals are getting sucked to death via ticks, part that it will be illegal/challenging to find red meat at all. What do you guys think?
