The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution is clear: Trump cannot be elected president more than twice. Yesterday, I asked Trump judicial nominees what the 22nd Amendment entails. Their response? Crickets.

This is what fascism looks like I’m America. Trump’s judicial nominees refuse to say that Trump is ineligible to run for a third term, The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, specifically says: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.” There is no interpretation needed. These nominees should not be approved.

They will stop at nothing! Steve Bannon: "Trump is going to run for 3rd term and Trump is going to be elected again" The 22nd Amendment — Term Limits “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice…” 12th Amendment — VP Eligibility “[No person] constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”

Why does MAGA always seem to think that the Constitution shouldn't apply to Trump? 22nd Amendment: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." If you are a Trump supporter, would you want him to have a 3rd term?

⚡️ PLOT TWIST OF THE DAY Donald Trump said he plans to run for U.S. president for a fourth time — then put on a MAGA hat reading "Trump 2028." Thank you for your attention! 😄 ‼️Under the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, no person can be elected president more than twice. Since Trump has already been elected in 2016 and 2024, he is constitutionally barred from running for another term in 2028.

Steve Bannon tells Bill Maher that the 22nd Amendment is "open for interpretation": "President Trump is going to run for a 3rd term and President Trump is going to be elected again. On the afternoon of January 20th of 2029. He's going to be President of the United States."

Donald Trump 2028? One Conservative now wants to repeal the 22nd Amendment to allow Trump to potentially run for a 3rd term. I find it hypocritical in so many ways. Do all Republicans feel this way? Do they think that one man is more important than our Constitution? Are they suddenly OK with a President being 86 years old? Are they suddenly OK with repealing amendments because I know another amendment that many on the Left would love to see repealed. I think repealing the 22nd Amendment is a terrible idea. Do you?

CNN’s Elie Honig on President Trump running for a third term: “The 22nd Amendment is about 99.8% clear. But let me just explain the 0.2% where it‘s maybe not clear. I‘m not endorsing this, I think it will fail, but let me explain where that 0.2% is coming from. The 22nd Amendment says no person shall be elected to president more than twice, but there‘s arguably a difference between elected to be the president or serve as president. So that gives rise to this theory, maybe he‘ll run as the vice president, and then the president will resign.” “However, you then have to look at the 12th Amendment, which says, if you‘re ineligible to be president, you‘re ineligible to be vice president. But the response to that… is ineligible just means the person is 35 years old, natural-born U.S. citizen, and 14-years of residence in the United States.” “So it‘s one of these situations you just wish the framers… the people who wrote the Constitution were just a little clearer. They obviously meant you can‘t be the president twice, but they didn‘t quite say it. I think it loses in court. I don‘t want to encourage this, but that‘s the legal hook that people are hanging on to.”

Will you support this? Steve Bannon floats the idea that Trump could run again in 2028. NOTE: Trump cannot run again in 2028 as the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1951, limits presidents to two terms, whether consecutive or not.
