Imagine an AI application that can type anywhere you can and use the full context of what's on your screen. This is the application we all deserve (at least if you have macOS.) Check out Omnipilot. It's an app that works with every other macOS application and uses Claude Sonet 3.5 in the background—it also supports Gemini and GPT-4o. Here is the idea: You can use the tool to ask questions about anything on your screen. Or you can use it to autocomplete the text you are typing. You don't need to copy and paste anymore or waste your time providing context to a model. It sees what you see. It works right where you are. That's pretty cool. Here are a couple of cool examples: • Use it to reply to an email • Use it in the terminal to autocomplete a command • Use it to finish a document • Use to send a message on Slack AI at the system level is bonkers. As promised, an early alpha version of the first level is now live! Try it out here: You can also click on "Adventure" on the home screen to load the game. How to play: - Choose your character from the character selection screen - Move your character using arrow keys on the next screen - Move near the 'Scholar' character in the red cape to receive your first quest - Click 'Start Mission' to start the quest - Completing the quest by creating the right kind of app will advance you to the next quest. The first level has 4 quests. The next level will be a completely different level design with an entirely new cast of characters. Maybe you'll have a little pet to give you company as well, and perhaps an ancient jukebox to set the mood 👀 Please note this is still a work in progress and we'll continue to add improvements, especially in the UI. When you start recording, the system can automatically detect the video area on the screen and select it for you. You simply tap to start recording, without manually adjusting, dragging, or fine-tuning the capture area. It feels smooth in daily use and genuinely improves efficiency.

We added a device tool bar to the Codex in-app browser, so it's easier to build and test responsive apps! Now, you can have Codex test your app in different dimensions, so it can fix bugs & improve UI for every device. Just click the 3 dots on the right of the URL bar to use it! As part of this change, we also: - improved the speed of browser use (~30% in my vibe testing) - tightened the animation of the cursor - added a way to hide the composer in full screen mode - fixed a few bugs for browser use in Windows Oliver Tepman and John Nastos cooked on this one! Try it out and let us know what you think!

Mobile: - The interface has been refreshed to improve the editing and reading experience. - Lock Screen, Control Center, and Home Screen widgets let you quickly create a new note, open a specific note, open daily note, open search, or open Obsidian. - When scrolling down in a note, the navigation hides to maximize screen space for reading. - New sidebar navigation for switching sidebar tabs and actions, aligned to the bottom for better ergonomics. - Added double-tap to switch a note from reading mode to editing mode. iOS - Shortcuts to open a note, open daily note, capture to a note. Capture shortcuts allow you to append or prepend text to a note, without opening the Obsidian app. - Siri integration such as "Capture using Obsidian", "Capture to Obsidian", "Open my daily note in Obsidian", "Search in Obsidian". -Searching for Obsidian in Spotlight shows additional actions: New Note, Search, and Daily Note. (You can turn this off in Settings.) - Automatic HDMI display scaling, so the external display now adjusts itself to match your screen size. - Verse merging, letting you show multiple verses together on one slide. - Verse splitting, so when a verse is longer than the screen, it automatically continues on a new slide. - Plus, overall performance and speed are now better. If you already use the app, you’ll receive an update notification, or you can go to Help → Check for updates.

As promised, I open-sourced the app. Introducing Inka: AI Daily Journal for BOOX devices → ← It started as an experiment: a simple screen where you can write anything and the page writes back. I showed it to my son and he absolutely loved it. Then I realized I could turn this into a daily journal app, where you can write down your thoughts and get answers back. It's low-bandwidth communication, yes. But that's a feature, not a bug. I find myself focusing much better while drawing _random_ things on paper. And so I turned the one-screen experiment into a full app. You can configure the AI provider, persona, writing animation, handwriting font & style and even an experimental handwriting synthesis for a more realistic feel. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
