More C64 LittleBigPlanet 8-bit Coding! - Did some work on interactions with Physics Ball, can now go behind and in front of it (That was more pain than I thought it would be!), can stand on it and get a high bounce by holding jump button when you land on it and can also walk on the ball for some clown action! The ball also kind of rolls down 'slopes', (or rather falls off corners), and it also has a proper world position now so can actually be moved from screen to screen - should be able to make some gameplay with this...in theory! #LittleBigPlanet #Sackboy #C64 #8bitart #football

I asked Astra to create a Catan game in three.js and it came out incredibly well. I played it, and the animations make it so much fun. The instructions and info cards make the game easy to learn. It even has AI players and trading. Astra used another game I had started building as a reference. The more games I build, the more skills and assets I have for the next one. It can remix the UI, 3D models, pages, and sounds instead of rebuilding everything. Now I want to see how many other board games I can make from this foundation.

These 3D models have the advantage of being extremely light compared to polygon-based 3D models. You can use various apps to generate these assets like the one I mentioned above. Often what you need is just a video or a set of images that you can shoot directly from your phone. To my knowledge, none of those apps right now offer the ability to edit and "clean" the model you get.... UNTIL NOW! You can go to from PlayCanvas import the splats you have downloaded and start cleaning it up directly on your #browser. After that the asset is ready to be exported as a PLY file Was this useful?
